No true granites at J-Tree. Or the San Gabes. The Gabes are granodiorite, such as the black and white spotted Mt. Lowe granodiorite.
It all comes down to where the percentages of mineral content lie in the diagram. Main players are quartz, feldspar, and plagioclase.
