Who's Riding Where???

Local trails from the house.
Gotta check out the new gearing and tires on the SS.
My riding bud chickened out so it's just the 3 stooges. Me, myself, and I....

Going to let it warm up before I hit the trail. 35° at the moment.
It's going to be a great day.

No trip up to Pipe today - which is a crime, as it was epic conditions and a final between John John Florence and his brother Ivan! We didn’t have a car and didn’t really have time.

But my daughter and I caught a couple of small waves in the 78 degree water! Then one of us grabbed a beer and we rejoined mom and listened to live music. Here is the definition of decadence and privilege… the view from our room.

Great pic! I used to live on Oahu, and during winter storms you could stand on the north shore and the beach would shake from the shore break. Watching people at surf at Pipe is such a great experience, but paddling out there is way above my pay grade. Glad you caught a few at Waikiki!

Shaka Bra!

Anyone think tapia will be drained enough tomorrow afternoon? Is tapia still open? Did g-out die??
I’m guessing it needs more time to dry out as it rained a bit more today. Yes it’s still open but there is some construction going on where Kona meets Creekbed. Kona can’t be ridden without entering the construction zone but burn victim thru creekbed and Karl’s is all fine as is dog tags. G-out died for a while but is totally rideable again. After the fire some things had to be re routed so it doesn’t ride as fast as before.

Did I ride the fast or slow G-out with you?

If someone is close enough to Palmdale the P-12 trails should all be rideable with a few possible exceptions. These trails drain fast with sand/decomposed rock. Unfortunately I’m back to work tomorrow and still fighting a cold so I won’t be out there.

Dos Vientos again tomorrow.
Sunday I rode Dos Vientos trails with some amazing soil. Everything in DV drains really well. Got 12 miles yesterday and with rain scheduled to start at 11am today I jumped out there and got a nice 16 miles with the rain catching me as I returned home. Photos are from yesterday about 4 miles into ride and tires are dry.
