The Movie Thread...

I can’t remember if I had mentioned Lost In Space on Netflix.
The third and final season just came out. If you are Sy-Fi freak like me, it’s good. They spared no expense on CGI and the acting is good and most every episode is tense.
I highly recommend it!

Oh! Also, the final season of Expanse is now on Prime!
I’m not watching the trailer!

Saw a movie on Fetnlix the other night called Pig with Nicolas Cage. Had no idea what it was about. Turned out to be a very good movie. No spoiler alert, so check it out if your in the mood for something different.

I’ve enjoyed LiS (watched it after my knee surgery too). I have not started the last season yet.

Good retro-review... might have to watch this weekend!

Love the chariot SUV !!!

.
WestSide Story , not a Disney...... oh wait, it is a ditzy musical. Turned it off during the first scene.
.
Went back later and gave it another shot. Chicks dancing is cool. The story was kinda good. Whatever.

Coincidentally and somewhat ironically, I just finished watching it myself. I almost gave up on it a few times as it got slow and I lost interest. But it had a strong ending - not very Disney. I give it 3 out of 5. I don't regret watching it.

I love Lebowski. I tend to like most Cohen films though. Fantastic ensemble cast that just goes out and nails it. O Brother will always be my favorite Cohen flick. No Country is pretty good, but damn depressing.

The Batman was great; I liked it much more than I was expecting to! Definitely a return to The World's Greatest Detective type of a story. Didn't dig the Ironman bulletproof suit, and third act was meh. But at least a lot less super ninja action which gets old fast. Pattinson's broken Bruce Wayne was an interesting and good take. I blame Voldemort.

Excellent review David. I completely agree - especially the come-back-from-the-dead suit. And the Voldemort comment. Yup. My 11 yo daughter said The Batman was the “gothiest goth who ever gothed…” . "Why is he painting with his shirt off?"

I was expecting another throw-away sup movie, and was pleasantly surprised by it! DC is getting its act together and putting out some good content. Especially the HBO shows like Doom Patrol, Peacemaker, and Harley Quinn!

That was a gem of a show. Just the right amount of filth and gore......and funny as hell.

Agreed, and John Cena nails the role. They had me with the opening credits:

Cena, Dave Bautista, and of course Mr. Rock are some of the best actors out there IMHO. Especially Bautista. His supporting role in Blade Runner 2049 absolutely set the tone for the entire film.

Here's a Bautista short if anyone hasn't seen it:
