I am inundated with scorpions during the summer months in my immediate area. They’re not in my wood piles but in the rocks around the house.
I go out after dark expeditions with a black light and a can of scorpion spray and pick them off.
They get in the house, often in the bathroom.
Their sting out here would be equivalent to a wasp.

Scorpions are cute. Most stings are like a bee sting. Give them their space and everything will be fine.

I mistakingly left my riding clothes laid out neatly on the floor at an AirBnB in PHX one year. When I put my shorts on, I got stung on the back of the leg. It turned out to be a 1” scorpion and the pain was over in about 30 seconds. In my limited experience, I’d choose a scorpion sting over a bee

When you live in a region where scorpions/centipedes/poisonous spiders live, always keep your clothing off the floor overnight, including your shoes.

I loved this 49 years ago when I wanted a Mongoose BMX bike (they were the hottest thing going back then) and instead, my parents bought me a bike from the PX on base.

A Mongoose Decade was my first 20” wheel BMX (freestyle) bike! I got it Christmas morning and proceeded to ram into our front step and front door, popping both tires, because I wasn’t used to hand brakes and no coaster brake (driveway was sloped down to front door).

Just like this…

Aaahh got it!! I feel like I always get it wrong with you lol. I thought your bike was black. Not murdered out though lol
I'm a habitual smartass, so most of my comments are sarcasm. Yes my new bike is black - not murdered out though. :Roflmao

My primary bike is the mint green Revel Rail you see above. It's a 165 mm travel beast with a 27.5 " rear wheel and 29" front (aka Mullet). Too much bike for current me.

Ah gotcha. Mullet?? I've never heard of that. I think I've heard of some interchangeability between 27.5 and 29s but no mullets. What is the advantage of running a combo like that?

The only "advantage" is within his own head. :Roflmao
Clint is definitely wrong here. And I challenge him to try a 29er on the front of his Tracer and find out for himself. I'll loan you the fork and wheel!

The advantage is you have the ability to run over Sh!t in front that you get from a 29er - helpful when doing steep drops or smashing into rocks. The second advantage is that the rear of your bike does not come up as far when you break over a drop, nor does it tickle your ass in said situations. The bike stays a little more level than a full 29er. The third advantage is that your bike corners better with a 27.5 in back than a 29 (it cheats in more). The fourth advantage is that a 27.5 is stronger than a 29er - kind of important on the rear of the bike that has to deal with most of your weight off drops.

What's the advantage over a full 27.5? The 29 er in front plowing through stuff.

What's the advantage over a full 29er? Rollover, cornering and strength.

You're welcome!
