New Bike Day!

This might quickly turn into a rent to own situation I'm thinking!
Luckily(?) this particular one will not end up in our stable. Shop owner said they are contractually bound to keep it in their demo fleet for 6 months. It's XT, factory suspension, carbon wheels, and $6,800 as built. There's just no way we could justify that for her at this point, and luckily she's more frugal than I am, so we'd end up with either a more budget build, or a pilfered build.

That thing is tiny...... :Roflmao

Small Specialized Jett 29er. They make an XS too

I'm just not a fan of how high bars have to be on smaller sized 29ers. I think mediums should start transitioning into 27.5, and smalls should stay with 26" wheels. Just to get the bars down around saddle height.

It's not a rule, I'm happy for anyone to be riding a bike! But there are compromises involved in geometry.

2020 Banshee Paradox V3. I moved most of the parts over from the FEX frame. The exceptions are the brakes (Guide RS) which I picked up from @buggravy a few months back, a 40mm Raceface stem (I may want to move up to a 50mm), a 2020 RS Revelation RC fork (130mm), and threaded bb bearings for the crankset (the FEX has a pressfit bb). There seems to be a minor misalignment in the non-drive side dropout. Gonna ride it this weekend to see if it wears in before I reach out to Banshee. The welds are a bit sloppy but they are substantial.

Maiden voyage tomorrow on some Skyline.

A work of art that will take you to new places literally and figuratively. Congrats and TFPU the pics.

I'm not a metalworker, but those welds look just fine to me. :geek:

Very nice!

Pretty.

Cool.

Congrats!

I think I am done here. Nobody left on full suspension.

My FS makes me appreciate my HT makes me appreciate my FS. In a world where I'm only allowed one bike it would be full squish without question.

Dude, that is fine, fine looking machine. Worth the wait :geek:.

Hah! I love my squiggly bike. Nothing will take its place, though it's merely one of many flavors to savor. :geek:

@SnakeCharmer: Are you happy with the routing? I have taken to using guide clips under bottle cages to get the routing as straight as possible. It works and looks better, IME. There are ones for three lines that would tuck your lines under your cage and maybe make cables work better. If you want to add a pump mount, it gets messier still without the guide clips. My bike looked worse than yours without the clips – kind of a mess around the bottle cage. All managed nicely now on three bikes via guide clips. FWIW, whatever works for ya. :)

I will eventually get to that. Being somewhat OCD, that mess drives me nuts but it is what it is for the time being.

Would you be so kind as to share some close up detailed images of how your routing looks using the clips? Thanks.

Funny thing is, I was using those clips under my bottle cage at first but they are plastic/resin and have some give which created flex in the mounting screws which had me concerned that the screws could snap off under the weight of a bottle of fluid.

Are your clips resin or alloy? Alloy is what I would like to find.
