Music... I Listened to Some

I'm not sure.... We're gonna be in the area early afternoon so I guess we'll be checking it out!

RE: the Old 97's show, Rhett is doing an acoustic set at 7:30. He's opening for his own band! LOL

Love it when bands do that. Often times Cooley or Patterson will open up w/ a solo set before a Truckers show.

The 97's would be great to see, but I can't pull off a Monday night... but D & JD on a Friday might work out nicely!

I forget about P&H's shows... they have some amazing ones!

So how was the show!?!??! I came very close to going out, as I love the '97s, but weeknights are tough...

It was GREAT! Rhett opened the show, he played a 25 min set. He has a new solo album that came out last month. Then, this is a strange middle "band", they had a slight of hand magician.... He tried his best. You just can't see anything, place is small, stage is about 6" high and it was a lil packed in there.
The Old 97's came out promptly at 8:45 and played until 10:35! New stuff, old stuff and Christmas stuff
I'm glad I went out on a school night to see em. We got home at 12:30, went to bed, up at 5:30 and off to work. I wasn't too bad either, it was well worth it! Plus Pappy and Harriets is a super cool vibing place! Bonus: $4 Banquet Beers!!

GREAT! Was this close to going, but just couldn't get the enthusiasm to make it happen.
I asked about the length as X played for just an hour when I saw them, and I felt a bit ripped off.
Wanted to make sure that wasn't the new thing in rock n roll!

I am getting ready for my 4th year out on Vegas for PRB. Great lineup this year with some must see bands.
