Phew, f-ing gnarly. I saw the the song title and had an expectation of what this version would sound like, but I was mistaken. Zakk's guitar tone was just brutal. And the solo - it takes something special to fill up that kind of sonic space with just one lead guitar and a very skeletal drum beat. Thanks for posting that.

RIP Rankin Rogers from the English Beat.

Love Rankin' Roger! Sorry to lose him. I have a solo album of his (Radical Departure) which was quite good, plus the General Public and English Beat stuff. He and Dave Wakeling usually played around here at least once a year (Coach House) even last year.

Went with the wife to see Pink at the Honda center last night. Twas my Christmannukah present to her. Her music just isn't my thing, but man, she really gets after it. Performance and showmanship were just next level. I have crazy respect for the effort and energy she puts in. Speaking of energy, just a super positive vibe all around from performer to staff to audience. I don't need to go back, but I'm glad went.

Love your attitude on this. I have listed many musicians that are not my cup of tea but giving the chance you need to see. Some of these big pop stars while I think are rubbish can entertain the poop out of a constipated alpaca.
