Our long evenings are going away fast. Time to keep the lights charged if we want to get a good ride in after work. Fall is a superb time to ride locally. Too bad it doesn't last a while longer. That would make the end of summer a little more bearable. With daytime temps being what they are these past couple weeks, I am not so sure summer really has left the building quite yet.

Sampled a bit of the Golden Eagle on Sunday morning on the 29+ Trek Stache 9. Golden Eagle is a blast on a 3" wide tire. So much confidence that you just don't worry about the trail being too soft or slippery. If you have the legs and lungs, those tires will get you up the hill. We rode up the single track to the first road crossing and came right back down the same way. While at the top, we took a nice break, shot some bike pics and sat in the green grass and just watched the world go by. Snapped this on the way up so I'd have something to remember the ride by.

Took the princess for a "night spin" @bottom part of skinsuit going towards skyline which is like a flowy ST we did 2 loops, maybe 2 miles total, really cool seeing my girl loving her bike, and some cool guys mtbkers said "Good job Dad" while passing us on the fireroad ! that is why I love our mtb community !
