I'm getting used to it... I only ghost shifted once or twice today, and I'm getting the hang of climbs I've done 100 times.

And thanks for that perspective. I've seen a lot of pictures from there, and many of the photos make it look a lot less scary than it is. That one makes it look vertical. I won't ask if you did the drop.

I remember when a 6v 5w halogen was a big improvement over the Cateye HL-EL 100's I started with back in the 90's. I made a bunch of light batteries from old RC car batteries, and would carry a few spares on a long night ride.
When I finally got a 6v 20w halogen, I was defecating in the tall cotton!

Got MISSILE ??? Nike Missile Control site LA-96 at San Vicente Mountain, decommissioned in 1974. A little reminder of the numerous sites erected during the Cold War era. It now serves as water refill spot when riding the Santa Monicas. Located just off dirt Mulholland at the top of Mandeville Fire road.
