This is all pretty uneventful.
Mike, you used a frikken walker and you walked a half mile, blah, blah, blah…
Believe me,, I know, just live it…
So I just had my last in-house PT session and it went really well, I think. I’m graduating from Private First Class Walker, to Commander Cane! So that’s… thrilling.
Get x-rays, a physician examine, and staples removed on Tuesday.
Did my walk this morning, but I thought I would TOTALLY change it up. I went the REVERSE direction!
! That’s right! You won’t be calling ME a stick-in-the-mud anymore…

With new stretch and strength building curriculum… my azz is cooked, whooped, and beat. Plus added mileage (mileage…ha ha ha!) to my big ride Saturday.
After the inside stretch and strength session, my Mom decided to go with me to the Water Tanks. A grueling .7 mile out and back. She kicked my azz.
Mom… kicking Mikie’s azz.
In all fairness, I did choose the more technical side of the fire road!

FWIW, my mom, who is 83, is going in to have a second knee replacement. Her first knee replacement (from about a decade ago) is rocking and rolling, but she has decided she wants the second one done because she walks 20954938 miles every year. She is now calling my wife to discuss "best practices" for knee replacement recovery since my wife is the champion of knee recovery (at least in my extended family).
So we have become a knee replacement loving community And I say this only because if the first knee procedure sucked (over the long term) neither one of them would be talking about going in for a second.

Looking pretty lean there, boss. An unintended outcome of surgery...shedding whatever weight you have to shed. Or is it all the plants you're consuming?? Some of both, I suspect.
Walking with one cane seems pretty incredible at this point. Keep cranking within reason!!!

However, I can tell you I’m on the 90/10 plan, so prior to seeing the doc to remove my Frankenstein staples I’m hitting up Rubio’s for some Fish Taco Especial! Oh yeah!

I have to admit that you caught my attention when you said carbon fiber!
