I DIDN'T Ride My Bike Today, Cuzz....

No bikey for a while still, but am up to some short hikes. The actual break doesn't hurt, but the muscles on my shoulder and back start screaming after a while. Must be compensating something hugely (should buy a Hummer).
So anyway, an hour plus hike, while my kiddo rode his bike around. This is up in El Dorado Park in Yucaipa. Perfect 72F temps. Nobody else there. Ended up pretty happy!

No ride today on Resurrection Sunday, but Cathy made me do a hike up the hill behind our house. It's mega steep and my legs felt like jello for the first several hundred yards...

Looks like I'm the only one not riding bikes today!!! :whistling:

I'm on the last two days of my spring break, but the kids are at school.
My wife and I finally got around to watching Deadpool which is still in our theater. I cackled through the entire movie!
We took advantage of a Chipotle free burrito coupon (Took a chance as I'm not wearing my brown pants today) and headed over to a local brewery to hang out before picking the kids up. A good time was had by all!

I didn't ride my bike yesterday because I took my 91 year old dad to his local driving range to see if he could hit some balls. He nearly died in September and we didn't expect him to make it to Christmas. He wouldn't eat, lost 50 lbs (down to 138) and was under in-home hospice care. Doctors couldn't really find a specific cause, other than age. Ahh, but it was a kidney infection that did not show up through the usual tests. By Thanksgiving, he was cooking dinner.

He hit about 25 balls yesterday. Most of them straight and 100-150 yards. As they say in the Holy Grail "I'm not dead yet!"

I won't ride my bike today either, even though I am on spring break. It's daddy day care today with my 5 year old. And that's a good thing!

Happy Birthday to the wives! No birthdays here, but I feel like really hungry after reading about Red Lobster and Claim Jumper (4.4 miles away downhill on the bike)!

Well... I was all geared up and ready to ride this morning when my phone rang. It was my brother who was at my mom's house watching the local volunteer fire companies try to extinguish the fire that started in the woodshed and spread to the garage and main structure. This hasn't been a good month.
