I DIDN'T Ride My Bike Today, Cuzz....

...Wife and I went hiking today at Santa Rosa Plateau. Was still raining when we got there but it stopped shortly; clouds hung around all day, beautiful cool weather. Around 9 miles. Enjoyed it while we could, unusally warm and dry forecasted again for next week...aaargh.

Got back from tj an hour ago, getting ready for wifey's bday party... With negra modelo beer and little coke (real sugar ;) )

Had a nice burguer with cheese inside and a "flirty blonde" beer.. man that beer was really good. @tortoise @doublewide
I even scored a seat for my bike, matching blue color... For $10 bucks. ;)

Dropped an old bike off at the shop. I have a Neighbor that is a bit short on $, so I tracked down an old MTB put some parts on it that I had laying around. It is getting the final touches at the shop.
Also getting ready for Vegas so won't be riding today either. But tomorrow it's on.

Because we had to take my 12 week old son to CHOC with RSV (respiratory virus) today. :( Staying here overnight with him and hope we can bring him home tomorrow. Poor lil guy was still smiling at the nurses while they were hooking him up to all the wires. He's a flirt like that.

I think I heard him say he wanted one of these!

That thing is rad! Went on their site and found this that he can get on in just a few months. The front wheel/sphere moves fwd/back while the rear sphere moves in all directions and the side wheels come off when he can balance.

We brought him home from the hospital yesterday and the doctor just cleared him for his first mammoth trip next week. Hopefully my next post will be in the "I rode my bike today" thread rather than this one, it's been over a week!

Glad to hear he's home! Rox is right... It's brutal on the moms and dads, but the kids tend to be tougher than all of us!

...flu. or something. knocked me on my ass. hoping to get in a wheeze filled ride this weekend.

Sucks... I got the cold that my wife and kid had so between this and spending all last weekend at the hospital I'm still rideless. I'm going out Saturday morning no matter what, probably do a loop through Oaks/Weir to get my legs and lungs back.

Took my youngest daughter on a Glen Oaks trail cleanup day, yesterday.

It was an illegal shooting range. She and I got the OCD job of picking up the casings.

Made some new (dude) friends (where all the white women at??) I also got the goods on some secret spots to ride but I promised not to tell...heh heh heh. :whistling:

Saturday Dirt bike race, Sunday course cleanup and drive home and Monday flexibility training or Yoga for the liege man. Back to my normal schedule this week.

Was thinking about riding tonight but remembered at the last minute there was a new jersey release party at FB. Ordered up one for myself and my son. Cool thing is our names will be on the back. 106 people attended. Great way to break up the work week.
