Mohs surgery (scalped on my scalp) on Monday has put me out of action for a while. Wound care instructions say no contact sports or strenuous activity for a week. I then asked about mountain biking and got the "what, are you - stoopid?" look and was told 1 week. Well now, we'll see about that. Unfortunately, the stitches are in a spot that will likely be rubbed by my helmet. So, no helmet? No contact sport as long as I stay upright! Dang, is that a business week or a calendar week? What the heck day is it anyway? :confused:

No side effects outside of very sore muscles this morning.
The line to park was nuts. But the line for the shot moved quickly.
I had my wife drop me off and It took about 1.5 hrs. From drop-off to pick-up. About 40 mins. In line.
The lady in front of me got kicked out of the line because veterinarians aren’t considered healthcare workers.

I didn't ride today, because they haven't opened my trails yet, so I went trail-running instead, and then when I got home I wrote a friendly note to the managing ranger:

Hi Scott;
It is your pleasant “please open the trails” reminder person again :)
Last time Fox, Fallstown and Wildlife loops were open was December 30. Wait, that isn’t exactly true. They were open for four hours last Friday, Jan 15. Why were they open last Friday for four hours, but are now closed again?
According to the National Weather Service, we have had less than 0.5” of measurable precip in the last 14 days. In fact, this has been a much drier January to date than normal. I am getting nervous because there is a forecast for heavy rain next week, and the window for bike riding in the park is closing. I have run Lakefront Trail three times in the last week waiting for the south bike loops to open… but I have been waiting in vain.
Please open the south loop trails! :)
Cheers!
