I should send you all of my lovely surgery socks Oh wait..I trashed them, all three pairs.Because I payed Nurse Ratched. Apparently our favorite family holiday activity is having surgeries. Shoulder surgery for Mrs Gravy today. Relatively tame, as far as surgeries go, and she should be fully back up to speed in a couple months. I lit up when I saw her new socks (@mountaingirl sara 's faves), so I broke mine out to make the most of the occasion. Lemonade, and stuff.

Yikes. She didn't realize it yesterday after the hike? Was suppose to ride today with the hubs and his buddy at P12. But the daughter lost her phone in the snow while we were hiking SOT yesterday...soooooooo we’ll be hiking again today
She realized it on the way back down, so we searched and froze and searched. There’s about a foot of snow near the top so finding a phone in that is like a needle in a haystack.Yikes. She didn't realize it yesterday after the hike?
Can't you hike while riding your bike?
Trashed them? Heresy! Kim had developed interscapular nerve impingement. We've been chasing a diagnosis for a while, and originally thought it was thoracic outlet syndrome, but finally got to the bottom of it. It's quite rare, apparently. Surgery basically just snips the tendon that's compressing the nerve, as that tendon is apparently something we've evolved to not really use, so recovery isn't too bad. Mainly just recovering from the incision, and PT to rebuild the atrophied muscle that wasn't getting any juice.I should send you all of my lovely surgery socks Oh wait..I trashed them, all three pairs.
Sorry to hear about the surgery, was Mrs Gravy injured?
Either way, downtime sucks
That’s so interesting, I hope she heals fully and quickly!Trashed them? Heresy! Kim had developed interscapular nerve impingement. I’ll break it to her gently.Mrs. Gravy’s brachiating days of swinging from trees are over.
I haven't even looked at a bike all year (so far).
Life has been non-stop super sonic lately. No time at all to ride.
The last time I rode was 12/30/2020!4 days of crazy busy.
Me too!The last time I rode was 12/30/2020!
Rugrat’s b’day present today. Since her bday is so close to the holidays (we do both Christmas and Hanukkah) we always do an experience instead of more presents. She got to see me face a fear as well, on a 2700 lb horse no less.

Yikes. I won't ask, but good healing(?) and protective vibes sent to you and yours.I haven't ridden in over a year.
Well, not since 2020 anyway. I told you the start of 2021 was going to make us long for 2020. It's only just begun, I'm afraid.
I've been tied up with COVID stuff, school stuff and a case of mistaken identity and social media gaslighting that could cost me a great deal.
Maybe tomorrow.
I’m not so sure I like this post but I’m pulling for a good ride for you. Sounds like you might need it...I haven't ridden in over a year.

We’ve been on coronacation too...the one household member who tested positive just completed two fever free days, and is released from isolation tomorrow. The rest of us are sitting here waiting to see if we get sick.COVID tests were all negative, so we have that going for us. Which is nice...

Ooof. Sorry to hear. Best wishes to stay symptom free and for the one CO+ member to return quickly to complete health! We’ve been on coronacation too...the one household member who tested positive just completed two fever free days, and is released from isolation tomorrow. this was the wrong week to have nothing to do except read the newspaper .
the CDC says we could conceivably test out by next Wednesday, work is paying me to not come back until the 24th. So I think a negative test means remedial bike time...gonna go wash my hands again.
Fever never topped 100.5. The daughter is the youngest and fittest among us, and she returns to college full of antibodies. We were worried about her maybe getting sick and having to isolate 250 miles from home, and now that’s not an issue. So I’m thankful it happened the way it did, if it had to happen at all.Ooof. Sorry to hear. Best wishes to stay symptom free and for the one CO+ member to return quickly to complete health!
