2021 Kokopelli... I may as well put it out there...

Awesome! I can finally get one that fits!

Or they're swimming in it because they lost a sh¡t ton of weight. Anyone need a slightly used XXL IMTB jersey?

Being "newer" to the site....I've only seen photos of you where you are obviously very fit and can readily pull off the "roadie" look. That concept is lightyears away in my rear view mirror for me which is why I wear the appropriately sized LOOSE fitting jerseys and even that's no guarantee depending on how much pizza or Mexican food I had the night before

.
I just got one also, works good.
.
@buggravy Have you compared the Spur to the Ranger? Found any deals on either?
.
.
No experience with the Ranger. I'm so thrilled with the Spur that I really don't have a wandering eye for anything in that short travel category. I'd guess deals are hard to come by, given the lack of availability. I saw a couple on Pinkbike that were barely ridden, and listed for at or close to retail. No idea what they went for, but they went quickly.

Haha you got the same bike want list I have...

There are plenty of 115''s out there. Join the Yeti Tribe Cycles Classified page on Facebook https://www.facebook.com/groups/168668263703700 if you want to see the listings as they come up. I'm interested in trying out the Spur as well but I've read more than once "you either like the way Transition's ride or you don't" so I definitely want to demo before I get crazy.

Wait did I say I was interested in a Yeti? If I did I didn’t mean it. I had one of those once and we didn’t get along very well at all, I got the scars to remind me. A Spur or V4 Ripley or Ranger or Epic Evo though that’s a different story...

Interesting. I hadn't heard that, but it piques my interest even more in the Sentinel.

Thanks. I think the spur/ranger are more modern versions of the 115 style. That design is a few years old. Yeti will probably always have better resale value tho.
.
VT, we must have the same sickness!

Reach out to Ashland Mountain Adventures and see if you can put a deposit down on any Spurs they have coming in. They just had one come in that was pre-sold and *implied* on their IG that they have more coming.

I keep making this harder. And more expensive. And I give Mikie an otherworldly hard time about his Duran Duran haircut.
And yet he keeps coming back & dragging you guys into it...:D:D

So psyched to have you guys coming back out! Y'all always have a big fingerprint on the trips you join, the camaraderie in your group is contagious & always makes things more fun.

This really leaves one, no, two questions - how many from IMTB this year & who's pulling Mikie up the hills? (Or is it true he switched to an E-bike?)

Best wishes, see you guys soon -
Alex of Bikerpelli

Shot's fired!
Ha hah hah hahhhh!

Hey just so you know...
The shameless promo by Alex ( @Seriously_Tho ) referring to Duran Duran is because he STILL gets royalties for his part moaning like a woman towards the end of the soundtrack...
:coffee:

How can ANYONE not want to join the Epic that Alex brings to Kokopelli!
The Home Depot of Mountain Bike Events!

Shut up, I got paid like $40 for that. Royalties baby...

"Last Christmas, I gave you my heart,
But the very next day you rode over it at the MTB park..."

Granted, that's George Micheal instead of Duran^2. But I know you're a fan of both ;)

I ride a lonely road, the only road that I have ever known. Don't know where it goes, but it's going home to me and I ride alone. I ride this empty street, on the boulevard of broken glass. Where the city creeps, and I'm the only one and I ride alone. Well me and the busboys, we ride alone
Happy long grinding road ride tunes. And make it a green day

I might be in over my head with kokopeli but I think I have just enough time to train. Hit this today. It's a local XC race called redrock rampage. I picked the expert class so I can do 3 laps instead of 2. I'm a sport class (Cat 2) at best, racer. After these 3 laps I'm pretty dead. I'll keep doing these sets until I can get to where I can do 2 sets in a day with an hour break in-between to stimulate the kokopeli stats and style of 2 rides per day. I have until may lol.

Bikerpelli is not like racing in that you aren’t fill tilt for a couple hours straight. I would lean more toward long 6-8 hour rides at a mild to moderate effort including several hard climbs spread through the ride. It’s more about building up your butt and long distance legs and lungs.

I’m not the strongest riders and my Bikerpelli days usually took about 7 hours or so. I did walk the really steep stuff (end of day 1) and a bit on the 18 mile climb on Day 3. Still made it with sunlight to spare.
Think distance over speed.

Oh yeah I'm just using this as double training. One for some sprint general fitness and two I'll be riding this as practice but at a show endurance pace until I can get in 6 or 8 laps in a day. I was riding with someone today so you know how that can go lol. I think we were pushing each other. I am going to overthink it and over do it on training so I'll be more than prepared mainly because I really don't know what to expect and the numbers are just big. I'm sure it'll go well but I like to get to the point where I'll be good early instead of close to the ride.

Ok where are you all staying in Fruita on Wednesday night? I'm trying to figure what I want to do. It's a 5.5 hour drive in for me. Anyone coming through Saint George on your way? We could caravan out.

Rates seem really high this year, so I went with the Red Roof Inn in Grand Junction. It's only about 8 minutes from Fruita. Totally up for meeting for dinner on Wednesday night, though, if possible. My buddy from Wyoming is going to be joining, and we may shuttle his van into Moab, so not sure what that timing will look like.
