2021 Kokopelli... I may as well put it out there...

Well, I was looking up camping sites and I thought maybe someone might want to share a hotel. I don't need to know you you just need to not snore. I do not lol. That or I'll just get a tent spot at that James Cobb campground nearby. Anyhow, let me know if anyone is interested in that setup. :stop: Separate beds people. :stop: I don't want anyone getting the wrong idea here. ;) Some of you are hooligans and the comments will begin regardless I understand this.

I'm ultra-bummed to report that I cancelled my registration yesterday. With the new job, vacation constraints would not permit me to take the week off for this, and still do some overdue/postponed family vacations that I have to prioritize for Summer. I sooooo hate that I'm going to miss this.

Bummer

Where's the dislike button for when Sh!t like this happens in life? Sorry to hear that man but the family time will be better anyhow than a bunch of stinky guys on bikes. We'll post how shitty it was and how you didn't miss a thing. ;)

@DangerDirtyD likes to give sponge baths. Just sayin' :sneaky:

For the record - I do not know this first hand. :gag:

Well that sucks... in a first world kind of way.
Yes, very much both. I’m bummed beyond words to miss out on this, and there’s an added sting coming from the fact that I’m in a position where I have a set amount of time off, and that I have to get approval for it. Haven’t been there in close to a decade. Getting that much time off so soon , and then again in the Summer would be a bad look at best. But, the new job is already proving to be a good fit, and quite enjoyable. And my consolation prize for missing Kokopelli is a week in Kauai (and I stay in the fam’s good graces). Quality problems.

Family first. Fair trade.

That stinks you're going to miss it, but I'm a lot happier reading about how the new job is going.

And... When you get that single speed, and the world is back to normal, there's nothing preventing a road trip... :p

I always look at these things through the eyes that whatever is happening is probably The thing I should be doing anything and it usually turns out that way. Family first always.

I am planning on camping near the start. Hoping to get up there early enough on Wed. to be able to ride in Fruita.

Greetings fellow 2021 Koko riding buds. I plan to arrive and stay in Moab later in the day on the Tuesday prior to the start of the adventure so that I have the next day to acclimate and check out the digs in the area. Due to the insanely high hotel/motel rates in Moab, I have rented a basic tent site at the Moab Valley RV Resort (where the ride finishes) for Tuesday and Wednesday night. There is room for one more tent and vehicle in my reserved site if you don't mind splitting the cost for the time that you are there. PM me if you are interested.

EDIT: The extra space is no longer available.

@SnakeCharmer I haven't gotten that far with logistics yet but have been thinking about tent camping somewhere. I would be coming out on Wed. (leaving Palmdale early) just trying to decide if it is better to camp up at the start of the trail or in Moab. I would like to arrive early enough on Wed. to do a ride at one of the locations and then am hoping to finish off my trip with some Moab specific ride on Monday before I head back home.

Hey if that spot is still open I'm in! Just tell me what you need from me.
