2021 Kokopelli... I may as well put it out there...

As an aside, three of us from the SCV area are doing the Chasing Epic Crested Butte ride this year in September. They still have 2 or 3 slots available. Would love to see some IMTB members there with us.

Tony, I have done this trip in the past. I've never had a bad "tour" with any company on any discipline from white water rafting to mountain biking but the way Steve runs Chasing Epic is my all time favorite. Quality lodging and great food options. I always take my own bike but this year with him having Revels, that would be a tough choice. Once Canada opens back up, I may be interested in his Revelstoke trip in 2022.

Also, you can always set up fully private trips too. Based on how many go on this Kokopelli trip, I would imagine you could get 12 people to fill up a private trip.

I may have to back out on this. My knee has been bothering me a lot for the past few months and it’s getting worse.
Bummer, hope the knee gets to feeling better.

As of now I'm on the fence for Koko also. I've been having some vision/double vision/equilibrium/headache problems for months now. My new eye doc found my eyes to be way out of alignment and he feels it is probably from a prior concussion, of which I've had a few. MRI in a couple weeks. Lately some rides I feel great all day but I've had a few that I could barely finish and they weren't pretty. Rocking new prism eyeglasses now that I'm having a heck of a time getting used to. I'm still going to Koko unless the docs say otherwise...

Wow Tom, sorry to hear that and I hope you can get it sorted out.

Healing rays beaming towards you both!

Ask the doc about neurolenses… I call them my mental patient glasses… :p But they were life changing, where prisms were less than stellar.

Double vision in my case… I always aim for the rock on the right! :D

Mike and Tom, bummed on the setbacks. I hope you get it reeled in pronto.

The thread morphed into an epic ride repository. Don’t forget, Rose to Toads is coming back this year: https://tamba.org/upcoming-events/rose-to-toads/

A northbound permutation of it is equally if not more incredible. Some of you have ridden some or all of the Tahoe Rim Trail, you know what I’m on about. It might soothe a rider who had to bail on Koko. As soon as the snow melts, give it late June.

Okay...
Time to figure out who is still in...
I would like to put together a PM so we can strategize transportation, carpooling, possible shuttle options from Moab to Fruita. Stuff like that.
Let me know so I can include you in the Conversation.
:)Mikie

I'm in! They don't drive is back to our vehicles where we started?

They do.
But some of us are not excited about adding two hours + for Bikerpelli shuttling logistics, and they do a great job of it...

As an example, we often have someone not riding that goes just to hang out in Moab until our cycling arrival.
We have typically kicked in some bucks and pay them to shuttle us out to Fruita from Moab, so we don't have to ride the bus back to get our vehicles.
Call it additional logistics, call it lazy, but that has worked well in the past. They provide an amazing breakfast Sunday morning and then we just "Bust a Move" outta there on our way home from Moab.

Hey does anyone have a camping spot set up that I can crash with? As it's looking right now I'm crashing in my truck.
I might be planning to get a campsite in Moab for Wednesday night. Just haven't committed yet. I should make my decision soon. My brother is driving from Portland and we just haven't decided whether we would prefer to camp on Wed. night or get a hotel room. You are more than welcome to join us, that is the way I am leaning, just haven't booked a site yet. More than likely, I will book at Up the Creek. It would be $40 a night for 3 people. https://www.moabcampground.com/

I'm in! I'd like to not have to think about where I'm staying any longer. I'm trying to run my business and it's so insanely busy I can't think straight lol. I really appreciate that. It's one less thing on my plate. I can bring cash it pay you more electronically. You let me know.

They do.

Oh gotcha ok. I'm down for that. Seems more relaxed if that's available to me.

@Im Livin the Dream I booked a campsite at Up the Creek campground. My brother and I will be staying there on Wed. night and you are more than welcome to stay. From there on Thur. morning either he or I will be driving one of our vehicles up to the start. (He has a full size truck, I have a small car with capacity for 4 people but only 2 bikes) You or whoever else is more than welcome to ride with us. Then we are planning to stay in Moab one extra day so there will not be a need for you to return to Loma. My brother lives in OR. so either way we will have to return to I-70 (Loma) to get the other person's vehicle.
