Who's Riding Where???

...and see if it's faster down the Luge.

I can help with that....sort of. When I was looking for new bikes back in 2020, I demo'd several bikes from Pro Bike Supply including two different Ibis Ripmo's, a Revel Rascal, an Ibis Ripley, a Yeti SB 140 and a Yeti SB130. I demo'd them all on the same Whiting to Luge loop and while we all know we have good days & bad for no apparent reason sometimes, the S130 was the smoothest and fastest CLIMBING bike I demo'd but it was the slowest on the downs. The Infinity suspension just couldn't keep up with the repeated, quick succession hits. I was the 2nd slowest going UP on the Rascal (the SB140 w/ 2.6 tires was a dog) but it was my favorite going down and I still think Revel has the best suspension platform while going downhill.

Oh man I wish I could go so I could see the new bike, and see if it's faster down the Luge. :ninja: Unfortunately I do not have the week off and I have a killer day at work tomorrow. :poop:
I will not be trying to set any PRs down the Luge tomorrow. I predict 3:52. I doubt the Yeti will corner better or be more composed than the Rail, but it's not really about the bike at this point. It's about what I am willing to do on a bike right now. My ego is in check. I bought the Yeti to make climbing a little more palatable while not giving up completely on the quality of descent. If I get a PR anywhere, I hope it's on the climbs.

@mtbMike I don't think it's the Infinity suspension that can't keep up with the hits - the accumulated medals in EWS may attest to the validity of the suspension system - HOWEVER - the kinematics of the SB 130 specifically are not aimed at DH performance.

Ha! How about that prediction!
