Who's Riding Where???

Bommer Canyon open access day Saturday morning @DangerDirtyD
Let me know, because otherwise I am planning a 8 AM on the dot attack down East Fork ... hopefully without any hikers coming up.

Also thinking about registering for the FREEKS ride on October 14th, because @Old&InTheWay loves to mention the glory days, and he is an inspiration. Pretty sure I can ride 25 miles of boring fire roads and hit 4K without dying, even on my 165 travel bike. :Roflmao (If anyone wants to loan me a large 130ish fork hardtail I would not object. :cautious:).

Thanks for the heads up, but Saturdays are soccer days for the next few months, and I plan to miss one in early November.

You can borrow my large hardtail with 120mm fork. It’s a 26er from 2009 though, and the front brake is faded. It made it through Wrightwood ok, so lemme know.

Absolutely nuts!

You win! :notworthy: :notworthy:
Planning to overnight as many times as necessary (and having comms on board) takes all the stress away from a big effort. Stop anywhere, bail to the Lake, call spouse for rescue. Same as in climbing. The big, truly remote stuff with no bivy gear feels necky.

Everyone who gets out for a ride (walk, hike, run, climb, paddle, surf...) wins, my friend! That's what makes these activities so great. Gluttony and uncertainty is totally optional. I'm competing only with myself. This year I'm losing so far, but on the upswing after the ankle rebuild. No brace, finally...there could be hope for new inline wheelchair PRs!

I was joking about the hardtail, but thanks. I am actually in really good riding shape right now, so not too worried about it. I will probably just add a couple of psi and stiffen the LSC's two clicks.

Possible afternoon Aliso laps. After daughter's 2:4o water polo game. Thinking the likelihood of this is low, but I'll bring my bike and gear anyway.

How's that for commitment!

UODATE: Games are 40 mins behind. I seriously doubt I’ll ride after 4:30. But maybe.

Heading NE to the big city of Parowan as a base for riding Brian Head, Thunder Mountain and maybe some Navajo Lake/Virgin River Rim Trail...
Maybe I'll see you up there. Riding the Dixie (Bristlecone) 311 route. https://ridewithgps.com/routes/44275429

Will be up in the Tushars tomorrow and Thunder Mtn (currently thundering right now) on Weds afternoon most likely. Then VRRT Thurs some time, and Dark Hollow Friday.

Follow on trackleaders, look under Bristlecone 200.
