Who's Riding Where???

I climbed those east Simi trails and did the end arounds. I am slow so it takes me 60 minutes no matter if I hit it head on or go around using the southernrn routes including once on the pass road. Once. Its just magic I guess. 60 minutes up 15 minutes or less back

Going to change up my Thursday ride.
Heading up to Central Camp road at Bass Lake as far as my body can handle.
Not going down 007 this time, because I want to see what kind of elevation gain I can get on my SS.
Last weeks ride was 21/ 3655 on the beast.

Push all the way to Beasore Rd and back down. It's worth it, particularly if you're not doing 007 and are just interested in gain.

I like that. Then I can hit up Jones Store for eats.
The best burgers and pies within 200 miles. They don't take credit cards, only cash as they have done for 100 years....they open sometimes at 11 and close around 3 when they run out of food.
No reservations.

I don't do 2 days in a row rides, but Sunday and Monday are looking pretty good for me to start.

My go-to when I need to get back on the bike and don't want to contend with the steeps of my backyard. Now - where did I put my bike? And can anyone give me some pointers on how to make it go? I have forgotten how.

Full disclosure - my hip is a mess and I am struggling to walk without a considerable limp. I can't make the hike to my surf spot, and I certainly can't straddle a surfboard for a couple of hours. Strangely, riding a bike seems to help. So off I go!

Grand autumn plans? The Tahoe window is wide open.

What I set out to do last week – a permutation of the Tahoe Rim Trail and the Lake Trail – is still in my craw.

A restful finish on the Lake Trail, replete with retail opportunities and some highway miles. Again I plan to cache provisions at Spooner Summit and take ≤two bivouacs.

Lapping the Lake Trail is mentally satisfying, but the east side of the lake has the more spectacular and continuous mileage. The Rim provides riotous downhills in both directions. This route includes some of the Tyrolean DH jump line. What could be better than more riding than you can possibly do in a day? I love every ride, but size does matter to me.
