Who's Riding Where???

They absolutely are. The simplicity... :inlove:

Your Honor, at the risk of being held in contempt, I refuse to disclose the evidence. You may also consider the possible enhancements for my actions of:
i) Not giving a damn what gear others run
ii) Not giving a damn what gear others think I should run
iii) Possessing and using a Schedule 1 Narcotic (spleef) in a Federal jurisdiction
Finally, please consider my community service during my sentencing, and as such, note Exhibit A: https://www.imtbtrails.com/forum/threads/i-rode-my-bike-today.2149/page-814

Gonna ride tomorrow (Sunday 8/1). Thinking about Skyline in BB or other flowy high-elevation areas...open to ideas.
Limited to my single-speed, which means I'll probably be stopping regularly on any extended climbs.
So, what's good tomorrow?
CrazyBear is at Skyline tomorrow. I’m gonna do a road ride to Claremont to the Pacific Electric Bike Trail with my Nephew and gift him the Giant AC2 before he goes home. I get more room in the Garage and the bike stays in the family.

The ride I said I wouldn't jump to do again... Cracking the short version out in the AM. Blame simplespeed addiction. :gotnothing:

Heading out a little early to see if I can beat the crowds and heat. Or as @mtnbikej might call it, a mid-day ride.

The usual limited Aliso faire. I can't seem to get my shoulder past the 85% mark, so I still can't huck - or land from said huck - with any strength.

Side note: WTF is with the water temps being in the high 50s? That's mid January-February territory. There hasn't been any wind, swell or other noticeable cause for upwelling, so it's baffling to see such cold ocean water right now.

”blah blah MTB blah...”

Maybe this is why it hasn’t been 100 yet and next week will be in the 80s (or 60s for you coastal dwellers). Just trust my gut instinct when I say it’s the Yapese dropping little ice cubes into the ocean to cool it down. Bad for fishing. Bad for business. We should send Coca-Cola to Yap. Maybe it will distract them from using the ice cubes for the ocean, and they can enjoy a cold beverage instead.

A bear and lion sighting in one ride made me think I need to go riding.

Slug out an early lap to trail x with my XC tires on the DH for added excitement.
I was spooked to the point I chose Bonelli Regional Park over Marshall Canyon the rest of the week...then I rode with Rossage and Faustie and @alexfore and @buggravy and Monkey Piss and by Sunday found myself alone in the dark on Monroe Truck Trail. Get some Mike!

Inspired as I was by your awesome one-two sightings, I was happy for yet another rest day. When the rides are long I’m good for one per week. And BTW...

Tomorrow is Fabulous Friday, when size always matters. There’s a one-degree cold snap moving in and I’m jumping on it with both feet. AYE

Yagagaga ooooh!!!!!

I saw that concert live Fabulous Forum about 12 Rows back, we were standing on top of our chairs when the cannons went off and knocked all of us in the first 15 rows or so backwards into the chairs behind us

Wishing everyone well through the fires. May your thoughts soon be of rides and riding, not life and property.

Some non-riding OC friends were coming up, I was going to hike Mount Rose with them, but they had a hitch and never came. So FabFriday looks like mountainbikeaneering. ~15 mi bike to the Wilderness boundary then ~5 mi on feet to the summit. I can ride the corridor I showed above on the way back. A perfect HT simplespeed mission.

Good point:thumbsup: Big drive with Pine Cyn closed, but better than nothing
Some of my favorite trails up here are burned, I really hope GE doesn’t get hit too:cry:
All the riding we get to do is a gift, good buddy, and I know you know that. We (I) also know that losing your home trails is a super fukked up situation. Please take heart knowing your outdoor life will go forward despite the loss, and that change is the essential process (that hurts now and again). Chill on, Sar. :)

PS: Fabulous Friday this week will be replaced by Soopah Saturday with a double-dark start. Hydration Friday it is.
