That was always a favorite of my brother and me.

I’ve been doing the reverse sear tri tips lately. Such a game changer.

We had Iowa pork loin sammies yesterday, with creamy pasta and cuke salad from the garden.

My wife and I ate at Selanne's last night. It was yummy - and 'spensive.

30th Anniversary, so...
I love that place! I’m all in for the Lord Stanley, but mamma has gone for the wagyu twice now and shows no signs of ever going back. I witnessed our waiter snap at his busboy for refilling my water glass with still water from a pitcher rather than the Voss bottle. I emerged from my dinner that day wiser, slightly disillusioned, and more empathetic for the folk who reach for the limitless, potable tap when they’re thirsty. Teemu can skate a little better than I can, but I’d like to think I have his number on the bike when Gravity takes over.

What’s your Go-To at Selanne’s?

I had a Rib Eye, but it was over-seasoned and slightly overcooked. Very salty. Delicious cut of meat however.
The service was impeccable. My wife had Wagyu skirt steak. Better flavor and preparation for my tastes.

We drank tap water. And each had a very over-priced glass of wine.

He’s such a nice guy, NHL players are the coolest.

I go out to eat every other week with work buds on our last day of the week.
We have gone to a Taiwanese place on Jeffery near the 5 for our last two times.
I can’t recommend it enough. SO delicious! I’m now a fan of beef tendon, which I never would have said before this place.
Spicy beef noodle soup with tendon
Pork chop with mustard greens & bok choi over rice
1,000 year old egg with tofu
Pan fried pork dumplings
Scallion pancake
Spicy cucumber and garlic salad

*this mall is supposed to be a zoo on weekends. Caveat emptor.

Garden fresh bruschetta, chunky marinara w/fennel pork and whole wheat linguine. Washing it down with Halter Ranch Cab. Oh yeah. Wife's birthday dinner. Me like Paul Prudhomme sitting on a stool in the kitchen, body overdone from this morning's ride. A little Frank, Ray and Dino on the tune player. Life be good.
