I have done it on 32:20 .21 and 22.
32:21 is my heat of choice.

I was once told that doing the CC is like hitting from the girl tee in golf.Thanks. I've heard of VQ, but not the other.

Then again, riding any bike on any trail is tougher than hitting from any golf tee in my book.
what's wrong with that? (I'm not a golfer)I was once told that doing the CC is like hitting from the girl tee in golf.

Please - they are no longer referred to as "women's tees." They are now the "forward tees."I was once told that doing the CC is like hitting from the girl tee in golf.
I haven’t ridden up Black Star since CC so planning to do so on Monday to see how bad my longer climb fitness has gotten. If I feel good enough maybe I’ll head over to check out the Sierra Peak area.
I am thinking a goal of under 8 hours for CC might be reachable. It took me just over 9 hours this year and that is with several factors slowing me down (muddy start, turned around on MS and took a long rest before growing a pair and continuing on, snapped a few pics, had no rear brake from the last DH on MD before the peak and on).

Actually, at first most people say I'm never doing this again. Once was more than enough.
Then a week goes by and they start thinking about it....or registration period comes up, then they start thinking about "what if".
Signed up for CC with a couple of buddies. First attempt for all of us. I’ve ridden every section in one direction or the other except for Santiago Peak to HJ, but definitely not all at the same time. This will be interesting............
I'm not nuts. Just a little touched. After all, I don't ride a singlespeed.
I was referring to the nuts who have signed up for CC and VQ. Have you signed up yet?
No, and I probably won't. More than I want to spend.
You'll just have to join me on it some other time. I'll want witnesses but not that many.
Hope u guys have a great ride on the CC and VQ. Hopefully it won't rain...mudfest...
Tailwind is good, especially on the climbs. Headwind is Okay only the decent.No.....this year it is going to go back to monster winds. It runs in cycles.
