The Weather Thread

Hi all, checking in from areas inland. The track of the storm is holding steady to go right through Yucaipa and up to Running Springs. The El Dorado burn scar is going to get a lot of damage I bet. The SART still hasn't recovered, and all the exposed burn above it up the mountain past Angelus Oaks is going to slough off across Hwy 38. Exploration Trail is right on the track as well, but luckily hasn't burnt so can hopefully come out alright. I imagine Big Bear is going to take a hit off of Skyline as well as it's only 10 miles due east. Fingers crossed we don't get the full 3" in four hours that's predicted.

That is a proper weather report. How it will impact the trails is all that really matters.

Now looks to have shifted to go right over eastern side of big bear

This thing is a dud, LOL. Based on friends and family contacting me from other parts of the country, the media is apparently treating it like the end of the world.

some other parts of SoCal seem to have been hit harder and it was the responsible thing to do to prepare the population for worse. It was the right thing to do.

But not to worry, you may get more of these in upcoming years and decades with warmer ocean temperatures…
