Multiple days in the saddle? Still beer for that first drink after the ride.
After 30 in a row, I was done. Literally, could not get off the ground and pedal. Thirty more days, it happened again. All but removed alcohol from the equation, 40 days with no issue, and another 26 a year later.

Now that I know alky does that to me in extreme scenarios, I also know that happens on a smaller scale. So if performance is key to the project, no matter the day count, I’ll stick to ganja and chocolate milk.

Know thine own self; accommodate. :geek:

If anyone is still looking for a shuttle spot I’ll transfer mine over to you for a little discount. Following a common theme for me I just can’t catch a break with time, haven’t even wiped my stanchions off from the Floop ride over a week ago. Not enough time to service my bike or more importantly get any rides in before the trip.
Cornholio, I would be interested in buying your shuttle, I haven't actually purchased my shuttle yet.

Maybe one of these days I will try an actual recovery drink. It may help me on my back to back days.

As this ride approaches it serves as a reminder that I probably need to readdress what's in my pack for mechanical issues. I should probably have more robust supplies for any ride, but I have the impression that a mechanical issue on Cannell could be a huge bummer not only for the rider, but for those with him/her if that rider is not prepared. Basically all I have been carrying is a general purpose swiss army type tool, and the basics to repair a flat (tubeless plug kit, spare tube, tire levers, hand pump), and that's it. I have other stuff for tending to my meat suit, but that's it for the bike. I'm sure I'm being remiss, and would love feedback on what else I should carry both at a minimum, and beyond.

I’d recommend a derailleur cable and hanger. Also a spare set of brake pads.:...for this ride.

As well as a couple of extra cleat bolts if you aren’t running flats.

I'd add a set of brake pads(even used take offs), a shifter cable, a derailleur hanger, a tire boot and definitely a multi tool...None of this really adds any weight and I just leave it in my pack at all times. Almost never need to use any of it but others are sure thankful when you help get them going again.

Does your multitool have a chain breaker? And I'd get a couple quick links. I usually carry 10 and 11 speed links...

Plug tool? Under $10 at the bike shop for a cheap one with some bacon strips. It's nice being able to fix a tire without having to take the wheel off the bike.

I'll probably carry 2 tubes for this one...

And I'll go over the bike before the ride... New pads, check all of the suspension bolts, mount my beefier tires a couple days before so they seal up...

Thanks all. Check, on the multi-tool and plug tool/bacon, tubes, etc. Tool doesn't have a chain breaker though. Was thinking of simply carrying a spare chain. Is that a silly idea? Brakes are brand new, but will throw a set of spare pads in. Will grab derailleur hanger, shifter cable & tire boot.
The sweeper should carry a spare bike to truly do his/her job for the group.
