Is there an official after ride celebration plan in place? This is one of those rides where you are hootin' and howlin' at the end with the realization of surviving The Plunge. It's well worth a tribute to one's self and to the others who were there with you.
Well I’m going to imagine that we are going to overload Kern River Brewing Company (It’s tradition... dammit).
No doubt the place will be packed by the time we get there. Don’t forget bike locks!

Well first we s

Yes the Kern River Brewing Company (It’s tradition... dammit). But first maybe we should crash @UPSed's campsite and polish off his pony keg...More incentive to ride towards the front of the pack...
The amber ale at the brewery is a fine choice when you arrive. The blonde is a good one, too. Leave room for some of those after you polish off Ed's keg. :D

I am definitely going so just let me know if it is possible and how much you want and how to pay you and I am in.
I am so stoked!!! Got a call yesterday afternoon that my Ripley repair is complete and the bike is ready for pick up. I am sooo glad, that I will be able to ride that bike on Cannell instead of my SS. Done Cannell on a hardtail a couple of times but the singlespeed part would suck. Not for the climbing but not being able to ride as fast as I'd like on the flowy, false flat stuff. Just be too spun out. Now I hope my rebuild goes well. See you guys on Sat.

man, my mind is totally drawing a blank.. 10 plus years ago, I went down Cannell.. don't remember anything chunky like Stairsteps.. remember some chunk at the beginning... but the plunge itself was downhill switchbacking... w/ one walking steep section...
umm. maybe I need to bring some pads... ok, ok I'll bring pads...
