If anyone is still looking for a shuttle spot I’ll transfer mine over to you for a little discount. Following a common theme for me I just can’t catch a break with time, haven’t even wiped my stanchions off from the Floop ride over a week ago. Not enough time to service my bike or more importantly get any rides in before the trip.

Not going to “Like” this post. :(

That’s a totally legitimate method of preparation. Join the “C” team of safe and bewildered riders.

I know a local guy that works cheap. :whistling:

Go back and read your Counting Coup ride report while listening to Eye of the Tiger.

Don't stress it, hit the rides you can (around the block, whatev), hydrate starting a couple days before and throughout the ride, stick with the safe sweepers and you'll be fine. Tailwind won't hurt. Pickles could help, too. How about the mini cans of Coke? I'm packing one next big ride. Give it hell, B.

I keep mini cans of Coke around for an after ride recharge.

Chocolate milk (used to be a favorite). But these days it's comprised of two things that destroy me. Milk bloats me instantaneously and chocolate brings on acid reflux. Getting old sucks.
That sucks about chocolate. Silk makes a dark chocolate almond milk that tastes like Cocoa Puffs. So refreshing.

Multiple days in the saddle? Still beer for that first drink after the ride.

I'm just not a beer lover. I'm not really even an alcohol lover, actually. Or a drug lover. I generally feel "high" naturally. Naturally hyper, naturally energized.

Perhaps I should sell vials of my blood? :whistling:

OK, I take that back. My drug of choice is SUGAR!
:eek:And sugar is one of worst things to consume!

I groaned when Tailwind came out with their recovery drink of vanilla and chocolate. One more thing to keep in stock. But I thought well.... if I don’t sell it, 1) it has a long shelf life, and 2) I can always consume it myself.

Surprisingly, it is one of the better sellers. I think the focus is because it works well for those who are lactose intolerant, and it actually works!

I think it’s a little pricey, I pay the retail price even buying it from myself, but I think I could really tell the difference on the Kokopelli ride. I alternated between the chocolate and the vanilla and experienced the same calming in my legs. The muscle hum subsided much faster and I felt a bit more fresh for the next day. YMMV!

Ah hem! This is a trail invite and not a nutrition thread?
