Ouch, looks like a four hour drive. From the OC area, do people go through Bako or Ridgecrest?

If I go, I think I'd have to make this a two night stay. Maybe camping. Must do further research.

In the morning the traffic is kind... We left Orange around 3:30, and arrived at the diner at 6:30. We waited for it to open at 7:00...

The return trip... well, that’s another story...

It's easy, @mountaingirl sara. When you see it looking questionable ahead of you, a quick dismount and it's done. Don't feel obligated to be heroic way the hell out there. If you do feel obligated, do what I implore the weez: Get the F behind the seat, hang on, and think light and nimble! :geek::thumbsup:
Thanks Mike! In a strange way I’m actually learning to appreciate this new found fear and using it to be a more cautious and calculated rider than I was before ;)

Way to tap it, Sar! Channeled rightly, fear is an incredible motivator and focuser – does not have to be the immobilizer that it's commonly thought as. Thinking back on some of the times I was truly gripped in the thick of it...glad to have had that extra push from the inside :geek:

Channel on!!!!!!
