If we didn’t have to stop to answer their calls for help we would have beat them back.We made it back didn’t we...?
It might be the only time I was glad to be ditched by a group.

Whoever made me responsible for the safety of another human is insane. As the sweep, and responsible for the safety of the entire group, you shouldn’t have allowed me to go by. A full on tackle would have been appropriate...

Notice once I took over nobody tried to get by cause they knew I would take them out no questions asked...As the sweep, and responsible for the safety of the entire group, you shouldn’t have allowed me to go by. A full on tackle would have been appropriate...
Yes, who did thisWhoever made me responsible for the safety of another human is insane.
Isn't there someone who would want to do this as a birthday ride?!!!
Okay!Cautiously in! I can ride anywhere (I think) but am slow doing so. So an A and B group pace would be cool as I want to enjoy the ride w/out holding the rabbits up.
Camping options around there? Group camp, cookout, farting, and consumption of beers and whiskey seems like a natural for this one.
Keyesville rec area is just down the road if nothing there.
GENIUS!Okay!
I have an idea!
Naturally I want EVERYBODY to go!
How about this for a plan.
We all shuttle together, everyone.
At the Trailhead we get some sweet group pics. We break up into what we "think" we best fit for a Team A and Team B.
Someone on each team MUST have a Computer with the route on it. We all take off. The folks that gravitate to the front with a bit more pace will naturally move to the front. Eventually those that become uncomfortable with the pace can drop back into the Peleton, BUT NOBODY GET"S DROPPED!
This way folks that want to stretch can stretch and if it gets to be too much then it's safe to fall back.
How is that?
This ride leader is equipped with a set of two way radios as well. So whoever wants to help me with the second group and take turns leading and sweeping will be assigned a radio.Addition:
Each team must have a ride leader and a Sweep Rider.
Why do I say this?
Because this is being organized on imtbtrails and I want to make sure that everyone is taken care of and finishes the ride.

Edit: This "could" be a Forum discussion in it'self. I have taken a lot of heat for group rides in the past and have always tried to figure out a way to make the ride for all levels of ride pace and current skillset.
if I remember, the plunge part was not that techy.. it was the upper beginning section that was a bit techy.. but nothing you can't handle...
I can handle everything b/c I know how to walk!!! (actually some places, not Cannell, I can't even walk down....)
By the time one gets there, the bottom feels hardest on the route. I watched my buddy go down hard in a moment of unfocus. Don’t let it get ya.if I remember, the plunge part was not that techy.. it was the upper beginning section that was a bit techy.. but nothing you can't handle...

I remember Jennifer telling me exactly this. By the time she got to the plunge she was worked so she just took it easy.By the time one gets there, the bottom feels hardest on the route. I watched my buddy go down hard in a moment of unfocus. Don’t let it get ya.
This is getting complicated. Maybe everyone should just Floop

There is one switchback on the plunge part that has gotten me both times... sort of a rock wall that drops into a hard left.
There is also a nasty little climb on the plunge portion. Although it probably seemed nastier with my choice of gearing...
Just a few rocks out there...and they’re little anyway, so...
