That S O U speech was the craziest thing I have ever witnessed here in America! Wow!

I didn't watch it, but do know that I personally put ethics and honesty top on my list of behavior that reflects my values for the leaders of our country.

Current administration is a dishonest bully that's cares not for anyone other than mr Benjamin.

I weep for our nation now that being a bully, liar and overall pig of a man is considered honorable behavior.

And @Mikie you can delete this or me if it is outside of your rules of engagement.

I read this last night...
...and I'm thinking there are some people here just waiting to see what I do with this.
Because I thought we all made an agreement that there were two off limit subjects. Politics and Religion.

There is Twitter and there is Facebook. You can all go crazy on those because they are NOT imtbtrails. I do. Right now I'm in Facebook jail for some of my posts.
imtbtrails is a website for those of us that have one main thing in common... bicycles.

So it's one thing to have an emotional outburst. Many have done this on imtbtrails. I have. Several times. I have apologized on many. I get it. We are passionate people. We forgive and forget, and I was so hoping that emotional maturity was going to prevail and the above post was going to be edited or even disappear by this morning. I am even saddened that people have "Liked" it.
I'm not sure if that is moral support, political support, or the ideology of supporting free speech, which you all hopefully know I totally support. So I have "Liked" it myself based on free speech.

The one thing about this that truly hurts my feelings, as a friend, is that after writing it, at the end, you call me out and you challenge me to do what I will with it. Placing me in the awkward position with options of deleting your post and even banning you from the site. Wow.

I am not going to delete your post because I believe in free speech, but I am going to say how disappointed I am that you placed me in this position. I love you buddy!

:coffee: Carry on!

If I may be so bold...

@Danimal posted his strongly held opinion knowing that it is contrary to yours, @Mikie. He's not so much calling you out to do something as acknowledging that you won't like it. I believe we can tolerate a few political posts now and again, especially when not attacking anyone on this site, and coming from someone who rarely utters a negative comment about anything, much less gets political.

I appreciate that you could click "like" for the idealism of free speech, and that you left it there for all of us to read!

I’ll openly admit. I’m having a real bad day. Worse birthday ever.
Rough stuff going on at work, real rough stuff. Not thrilled turning 61 today. I’m tired of being the moderator of my friends, now apparently there are only 15 of us. Chances of selling my Yeti are slim to none, want the rest of my story everyone?
Man I’m not perfect, I love our website but apparently only 14 others in the world like it.
But I’ll tell you what... I love my President. You all can hate him if you want. I’ll go toe to toe with anyone in a private conversation related to politics and this President. So that set me off and it was wrong for it to do that. I got to be a better leader then that. I always try so hard to show wisdom, and then I second guess myself. I have been miserable because of this thread all day, believe it or not. I’m just glad today is over.

Hey bro, I know this sounds cliche, focus on all your blessings.....you have countless ones I'm sure!!!

Sorry Mikie. My tendency to try to throw in quips and comments of irony, sarcasm or wit hurt you. If we look at the numbers of daily contributors to the forum, it's not real high. But we are all friends who have mostly met each other and ridden together and that's very important in the development of an online community. I have met some lifelong friends through this forum and I include you among them. And even though the core of daily contributors is small, there are hundreds of daily readers, I am sure.

There is no need to feel miserable because someone posts something he knows you passionately disagree with. We've had people post positive support for e mt. bikes on this forum too. You have been and continue to be exemplary in establishing standards of decorum and decency even when we disagree. Thank you for continually rising above.

No need to get TRIGGERED!

You're a 61 year old man who has seen more than half a lifetime of experience and adventure. Don't let Sh!t bother you or get under your skin. It's just some words.... @Mikie Love you dude and most of the 14 people on here. :Roflmao:rolleyes:
Well said. I've seen way too many friendships lost due to political differences. It's not worth it, especially on a mountain bike forum. Let's keep arguing about SS, gears, HT, FS, road, gravel. :whistling:

Love ya @Mikie! :inlove:

Bummer, but it's OK to get grumpy once in a while. It's how we vent our frustrations that would otherwise take us to a deep, dark place. Things will get better in due time and at the end of the day, every day, we have to count our blessings for the good things in life. Sometimes it's hard to see them during times like this, but they are there and they are what keeps us going. You have many friends, and you are loved.

I appreciate it guys. I really do. These are crazy times and @scan you are right, we ALL need to count our blessings, that's a great reminder. @herzalot your not the first person to say we have 14 people on our site. When I have heard it in the past it was always from some irate private conversation of someone going off on the site or me. Moderation is like the thankless cop sometimes. I think I have gotten lazy at smoothing things over in a positive way and have lately and just said EF it! Get out! Not good if you want to be a good ambassador. I know you love this site and really meant no evil 14 person dig. Just added fuel to the moment. I always had dreams of a huge utopic site. Maybe I should go into politics..... :gotnothing: …… Nah! Not a good idea. :whistling: Thanks.
I have to admit @doublewide the triggered keyboard cat made me laugh so hard I had to stop watching it over and over and over... That is funny Sh!t. Thanks Mark. And thanks Mark.

I have a really bad day ahead of me at work today. I'm losing my direct Boss as she is being redeployed to other actions. She has been the best Boss in my history of existence. Related to career, she has been the best leader, best friend, and best buddy I have ever experienced. I find out in 30 minutes what the new plan is. Gotta meet with the President, VP, and Dean of Manufacturing at the AVC College, conduct a tour for high officials for another college of the F35 program, attend the F35 Process Management Team Committee, figure out a way to interview 200+ Technicians on Friday and Saturday, and go out to dinner with Cathy, my Mom and a good friend by 4:30.

Happy Thursday, hopefully I get a weekend out of this.

:)Mike

Well said Herzy!
I’d rather have a small group of good solid friends than a large group of friends/ acquaintances! ;)
