Music... I Listened to Some

Last three pics are: Psychedelic Furs, Bauhaus, and Blondie. Didn’t take pic of Berlin or Morrisey
Did Morrisey show up? He rarely does. I would love to see him.

Did Peter Murphy sing for Bauhaus? (I would bet not. His solo stuff is waaaay better.) Saw him at Winter Park CO in about 1995. He was awesome, but gassed from the altitude.

Did Richard Butler (Furs) remember the lyrics? He didn't when I saw them at Red Rocks in 1990-something.

I can never tell them apart.
That's a little like saying you can't tell... hmmm trying to think of analogy you could actually relate to...

A destroyer from a submarine? A hardtail from a full sus? Mrs. Brady from Alice? Ahhhh, I give up.

Lauper (69) is (or was) a quirky, odd looking redhead. Debbie Harry (77) is (was) a blond, Marilyn Monroe-esque punk rocker.

Yes, I know them both (not in that way, of course), enjoy both of them musically, but cannot tell them apart musically. Never saw them in person. Never paid much attention to the physical specimens....only had tapes.

I'm kinda deficient in being able to name artists when I hear them. C'est la vie.

Love live music and pretty stoked to be seeing a couple of bands I’ve liked for a long time. One since the 80’s (Faster Pussycat at the Coachhouse) and one since college (Fu Manchu at the Wayfarer). Also taking my cowgirl daughter to her first concert - Alan Jackson. She loves him and George Strait!

So you'll be in Amarillo by morning???:whistling:

Or maybe down by the Chattahoochie? ...

Blondie "Call Me" and Cyndi Lauper "Time After Time." Not that different.

I googled "Lauper Call Me" and got "Time After Time." So there's that.....
Well one's a slow sweet ballad that's practically whispered and the other is a rowdy uptempo rocker that's almost yelled. About as different as two songs can get. The only thing they have in common is a white female singer.

Okay, I'm not a fan of either Blondie or Cindy Lauper, but, c'mon! Debbie Harry, you never noticed her???

@herzalot , yeah, Peter Murphy was in Bauhaus. Pronounced Bowww-Haaausss!!! (Like a vampire.) He was in Tones on tail too.

She had a very sexy mouth. And the more I rehear them, the more I realize just how good Blondie were. Didn’t pay them much attention back in the day.

I saw them at Irvine Meadows with the Ramones and Tom Tom Club. That was a GREAT show!

I once presented this argument to one of my cousins ... "In their prime, ... Stevie, Deborah or Linda?" He picked Linda. Fair enough, we are the same age.

Prime is prime. Deborah for me. Women have very short primes. Is that offensive or true.? :cautious:

I’ve had this cd stuck in my car for about 3 years now. It’s still stuck In there , but at least it plays now.:Roflmao

also, because I know they have a lot of fans on this site, I saw Jeremy Dean, the graphic artist has been working on what looks like some Interrupters stuff.
