Music... I Listened to Some

In the late 70s, CDB was a monster touring jam band. Unreal output, as solid as any of their peer bands of the day.

I had to smile at the idea of him changing his message over the decades. As pre-teens, “tokin’ on a number” was new language to us. While we were curious and destined for that path anyway, I have to tip my hat to the old man for his contribution. He tried to undo it. Rest easy and hit that bowl, Charlie, you made it.

I used to sing and play music. My mother was a professional musician, singer and keyboards. I started piano at age 5. Linda has got the voice. The harmonies are really good. I saw Emmy Lou back in the '70s but never saw Linda to my regret. As time passes, I appreciate her more and more.

Live guitar work

I still remember listening to Brothers in arms with my dad and asking him what a "Fa**got," was. His response is still admirable and enlightened-for the time. He said (very mater-of fact) "It's just a boy that falls in love with boys."
I think I was 3 or 4-years-old because we were pulling into the hospital where my youngest brother was born and he'd borrowed his best friend's van because his Tran-Am and my mom's Civic were both too small for the family.
He bought a 4Runner shortly after that.
