I have given several listens to the new nofx and frank turner split. They cover the others songs. Good listen for sure.

Here's a nudge for ya, bud. A long time, but you'll fall right back in. I barely touched a guitar for ~6 years recently, forgot how gratifying it is. Rev up GarageBand and get your fingers in shape, you can lay a bass line into something I'm working on – something you'll appreciate more than most.
Well, after 20 years my Peavy stage amp which has been in the garage the whole time , unsurprisingly, doesn’t work. I’ve been out of the loop for so long, anybody have any recommendations for a smallish, decent but inexpensive bass practice amp? (I’m Covid-broke.) saw a $100 Fender amp on guitar centers site...

Calling Musician's Friend and asking a bass advisor could yield some options. I was at my buddy's house today and he pulled out this new little Blackstar practice amp and was raving about the sound, features and price. It was not a bass amp but they do make them. He's a longtime guitar tech, super picky about sound and thrifty as hell, so a good advisor to my mind. The Martin he nudged me towards has been perfect – I was ready to spend more needlessly. I digress... Maybe you just need to fire up GarageBand or one of many other free/cheap DAWs and use headphones or speakers. Pretty fun to toss in some drums and go to town. A USB guitar cord is all you need. Have fun whatever you do.

Three RotoSounds and an Ernie Ball?
You can tell from that blurry pic?! Whatever I put on there in 1999 or so- I don’t remember.Three RotoSounds and an Ernie Ball?
I wasn't much of a bassist, but to me nothing could match the sound of RotoSound round wound strings. Such a distinctive tone for "modern" rock from John Entwistle to Geddy Lee to Garry Gary Beers (INXS) and a plethora of 80s and 90s new wave/alt rock bands. You can tell from that blurry pic?! Whatever I put on there in 1999 or so- I don’t remember.
I just sent 2.5 coldies, cracked open GarageBand and pulled out my new acoustic love. Macbook Pro mic is impressive!
For @mtbMike. Sorry about the 457 mistakes and the tuning.
Blue on Black
Night
Falls and I'am alone
Skin
Yeah chilled me to the bone
You
Turned and you ran
Oh yea
Oh slipped
Right from my hand
Blue on black
Tears on a river
Push on a shove
It don't mean much
Joker on jack
Match on a fire
Cold on ice
As a dead man's touch
Whisper on a scream
Doesn't change a thing
Doesn't bring you back
Blue on black
Blind
Oh now I see
Truth
Lies and in between
Wrong
Can't be undone
Slipped
From the tip of your tongue
Blue on black
Tears on a river
Push on a shove
It don't mean much
Joker on jack
Match on a fire
Cold on ice
As a dead man's touch
Whisper on a scream
Doesn't change a thing
Doesn't bring you back
Blue on black
