Probably but which witch hunt are you referring to?Thanks! Isn’t there witch hunt every halloween? Oh sheet! In that case any moving should be now!

I had a 30/30 in my gun rack in my pickup AT high school. I'm talking about the ARs, not the actual hunting rifles. Y'know, the ones that are so fun you can't afford the ammunition?I grew up in southern Oregon. Every pickup had a gun rack in the back window with a rifle or two. There were no mass or school shootings.
I am relieved that that's what you see. Like I said, I am probably in the minority. When I see assault rifles with huge capacity, I don't get a happy feeling. If you want to politicize it with an agenda, I guess you could paint that picture as you did. I saw having a blast, self defense, and 2nd Amendment rights. Not one of those guns gave me any sass, or threatened me as I walked by.
Tools... like my tractor.
Sport... like my bike.
Guns... like skeet shooting and target shooting.
That’s what I see.
Hugs and kisses!
Yeahhhhh.... you’re right!I'd love to have a place up there somewhere for summer/fall. But no way will I ever live somewhere full time where the riding season is only ~4 months long.
Mikie is going to be one of those poor bastards we see posting "great first ride of the year" in early July when the snow finally melts. Bye bye riding fitness! That said, the summers will be rad.
Mega TOUCHE!Yeahhhhh.... you’re right!
Why would I want to open up my life adventure to cross training stuff like snow shoeing, snow boarding, cross country skiing, snow skiing, and snow mobiling?
Than I would be stuck with having to fit all my spring, summer, and fall sports into Quads, Mountain Biking, Paddle Boarding, boating, fishing, wake boarding, water skiing, and off roading all within a 25 mile radius. Of course that is if I just want to hang out around Lake Pend Oreille. With diesel running $2.75 a gallon up here, truck registration $60 bucks a year, I “could” force myself to go to Kalispell, White Fish, or Coeur d'Alene all within 2 hours. Or... I can go hit up the magnitude of mountain biking in Canada? Decisions decisions....
We did indeed drive through Donnelly! To be honest we just blew right through. We saw the Tamarack Resort sign but did not put two and two together. I think Donnelly rented bikes but did not have an actual bike shop. We went there from McCall as I knew there were some trails on the ski slopes.Ive got relatives who relocated to Hayden, and others moved just across the Washington line. My cousin has taken up splitboarding to pass the winter until water ski season.
The area has its pluses and minuses—the cost of living is great, the outdoor amenities make up for the lack of man made distractions, but I’m told property crime is pretty bad, at least compared to OC...maybe that explains the arsenal at the store.
Did you drive through Donnelly? I’m intrigued by the possibilities at Tamarack resort.
With all those other hobbies you're gonna have no time for bikes. And quads???? You might as well buy an e-bike. If you try and rename this site Ie-MTBtrails I'm going to demand a refund of my membership feesYeahhhhh.... you’re right!

They have a quad trail network up here that is amazing! I’m sure it’s for hunting but, wow! Quads may not be first on my summer activity but you can convert a Quad to snow activity as well. Fun stuff! With all those other hobbies you're gonna have no time for bikes. And quads???? You might as well buy an e-bike. Policing your property for hunters will be a chore in landowning there, I assume? They have a quad trail network up here that is amazing! I’m sure it’s for hunting but, wow! Quads may not be first on my summer activity but you can convert a Quad to snow activity as well. Fun stuff!
Poachers is a big deal up there. Some areas more than others. Our favorite property backs up against BLM. Typical signs that state residential area helps a lot as they don’t want to be shooting in family held areas so not too much a problem on 20 acre parcels. It’s big but not THAT big!Policing your property for hunters will be a chore in landowning there, I assume?
WORD!For me, snowboarding on powder days would definitely help during the Winter but not be a replacement for being able to ride 350 days a year. Skiing & snowboarding used to be my #1 passion and even to this day, absolutely nothing tops snowboarding in the backcountry on a powder day. Snowmobiling through powder fields and trails is also pretty incredible and I think I'd definitely be buying a sled if I was up there full time. All that being said, I'd probably be renting a place in PHX or Tucson for a month or so to escape being snowbound 5-6 months a year. I think the biggest highlight of living up there would be the easier access to riding in the Interior BC all Summer long....Fernie, Nelson, Revelstoke...droooool
Canfield? Such an obscure reference!!!View attachment 58380 Why DID I think of @scottay when I saw this billboard in Coeur d’Alene?
Scotty? How are you???
I went and looked at the bikes. I had never heard of them. Did Canfield design a suspension theory? That’s the best I could come up with.Canfield? Such an obscure reference!!!
BTW, I'm most likely buying a Revel Rail as my next bike. Just sayin' (See if you can connect the dots here. It's not hard.)
And yes @scottay - how are you doing?
Canfield Brothers Racing? Crampon pedals? Nimble9, YellyScreamy, Riot, Toir?I went and looked at the bikes. I had never heard of them. Did Canfield design a suspension theory? That’s the best I could come up with.
