I see what you got going on there...with that second from the left.
Wait till you see me climb a tree!I see what you got going on there...with that second from the left.
Prehensile toes, very useful.Wait till you see me climb a tree!
I set my release tension very high
No wonder you sustained such serious injuries in that crash. You may wanna consider loosening up the tension a bit?
Yes but if you are attached to your bike and cannot easily unattach, you cannot use your legs to control/break/catch/minimize your fall/crash. Our bodies were meant to land upright and if they don't, we break fairly easily.Last I checked, his shoulder/ribs/collarbone weren’t clicked into his pedals.
Ha hah! Looks like those dumazz "Concept" Bikes that somebody would make for Porche and sell for $18k. No thank you...I guess this is what Ellsworth has been up to....

There is a difference between useful data to help others avert a bad event and needling someone about something that can't be changed. Bravo, you've managed to straddle the two! But your troll factor is taking a hit; be careful with your reputation. No wonder you sustained such serious injuries in that crash. You may wanna consider loosening up the tension a bit?

The best of both worldsThere is a difference between useful data to help others avert a bad event and needling someone about something that can't be changed. Bravo, you've managed to straddle the two! But your troll factor is taking a hit; be careful with your reputation.
Yes - I should loosen the tension so that my feet come off the pedals unexpectedly while going through rock gardens at high speed or in the air! Good idea!No wonder you sustained such serious injuries in that crash. You may wanna consider loosening up the tension a bit?
Im not gonna get into it with you.Yes - I should loosen the tension so that my feet come off the pedals unexpectedly while going through rock gardens at high speed or in the air! Good idea!
BTW, there would have been zero difference in the outcome of my crash had I been on flat pedals. There was no “recovery” opportunity that a loose foot could have cured.
In my experience, using your legs to break your fall is overrated .Yes but if you are attached to your bike and cannot easily unattach, you cannot use your legs to control/break/catch/minimize your fall/crash. Our bodies were meant to land upright and if they don't, we break fairly easily.
Im not gonna get into it with you.
I will say this though. I rode clipless for over a decade and I never feared coming out of the pedals even though I always had them adjusted for easy in/out.
To each his own.
When you get to 25 years.....let me know.
And mine are super tight as well.
Clipped in since 1992, Mr. Know It All! Plus I was a ski racer, so I know bindings. Pre-releasing out of a ski binding can be more dangerous than not coming out.Im not gonna get into it with you.
