Probably trying to get a closer look at that IMTB sticker...

Sorry for your loss. Glad there was no bike on there. I would hate for you to have to go through the arduous process of picking another perfect bike. If I recall correctly, you did a parking lot test on one bike and bought it. Sounds exhausting.

The ball is just sitting on the tee waiting for someone to take a swing... I'll pass this time. :p

Parking lot test on the Giant XTC. Bought it.
Ordered the Giant Defy roadie based on sitting on one the wrong size in the bike shop.
Ordered the frameset for the Kona knowing nothing 'bout gravel bikes....

In that order. I think there's a trend developing. You have no idea how much effort is expended this way.

If you would pull out a camera while I’m on the ground after stacking, please do us both a favor and don’t ride with me. I shyt you not, if someone pulls that on me I will take the phone and throw it in the woods, or further injure myself trying. You don’t believe me? Ask the last guy who tried. I couldn’t get to him, but that barrage of rocks sure did. That phone got put right away.

Have a nice day!!!!!!

Ohhhh.....we only do it after we make sure all is well.

Well, apparently bike racks are in short supply these days. The Yakima HoldUp - the one that got thrashed on the back of my car - is not in stock anywhere. Neither is anything else. This could be a long summer.

Even with the rack in the way, and the hitch taking the beating, it's a $5,000 repair bill.

I don't have to pay it.
Did you check 1 Up USA?

Amazing racks ...

Since REI is now open to go inside again I went to the Tustin store and got a couple pairs of socks using my dividend.

FWIW, they are back ordered also. Mine got clipped in my driveway by a construction crew that backed in when turning around in my street. It took a pretty good lick, and is a little worse for the wear, but is still functional. Ordered a new one, but it says 15 - 20 days for delivery.

Yeah, Yakima said 90 days until they get any. However, comma, it turns out they have all the individual parts in stock. Since I just needed the tongue & spline, I ordered that Monday afternoon and got it today - other party's insurance is sending me a check for that.

Took the trays off the old one and slapped them on the new part. Et voilá, I have a bike rack again. With the IMTB sticker still on it. :Roflmao:Roflmao:Roflmao:cool::thumbsup:

Now all I need is the replacement hitch and I'm back in bidness.:thumbsup:
