Shrooms and specialized bikes...

https://www.mercurynews.com/2020/03...ard-on-his-psychedelic-drugs-therapy-project/

Not really, but good read. Mdma was originally developed for this purpose...

I was going to post this link too but there are anti-Specialized zealots here who will bring up a 10 year old trademark issue to justify their dislike of Sinyard and the brand.

I have met, talked and ridden with Mr. Sinyard and I found him to be intelligent, funny and engaging, and I judged him to be a good man. That's all I need.

I have also used psilosybin micro-dose therapy.
It has enabled me to chase away some mental demons that made me crazy-angry, and I am calmer and more reasonable since doing so.
I use 0.25g of "magic" mushroom, ground finely, and put into gelcaps here at home. That's about 10% of a trippy dose. I get a mild sense of well-being, along with an ability to think about stuff before I just react and lash out. No visuals or melting...ha! Just inside my head!

I do not sell the mushrooms or my gelcaps. They are not hard to find, but they are still illegal.
Though, how can they make illegal, something we all have in our minds already?

Do your research and heal thyself, Psychonauts!

How dare you take charge of your psychological wellbeing! It's good to get it dialed – thanks for the share. It's promising to see the resurgence of experimental therapies that could help many kick the pharmas or just get better. In other news, I carry around several thousand microdoses of pure residual which I tap into when "needed." :geek:

The friend of mine who lost one lower leg has been steadily getting back in the games. He just topped out on the Muir Wall route on El Capitan after 13 days on the face, climbing with his son and his son's noob buddy. He led all the difficult pitches, too. Props to Ammon and the boys!

A great comeback, but Ammon always gives a little more... On the very last pitch he lost his prosthetic. 3000' to the dirt. One of the bros located it at the base and brought it up to the summit where it is being used as we speak to descend the formation. Just a little worse for wear, not unlike its owner. AYE!!!!!!! :notworthy:

I typed like 4 responses, and they all just looked wrong- especially the leg up joke. What do you say to a story like that, other than "Holy Sh!t!"

Edit: More of these stories, please, people... Enough of the other kind.

LOL, the dark humor would be quite well received! The El Cap Pirate has enjoyed them all by now, and it immediately was lost on no one that any worthy seafarer would indeed sport a peg leg. :D:thumbsup: The joke for his brother and I is that we didn't climb much with Ammon because we're not fast enough, and now we can all climb together. But the new joke is that we still can't.:laugh:

The Muir Wall is one of the longest El Cap routes. It climbs the big part left of the Nose, but it wanders to connect big natural features. 33 pitches as done by most teams, usually in a week or so. The weez and I did the route for our honeymoon, spending 17 days on it. A good pick for low traffic, some wild exposure, few drilled holes, minimal piton needs, rad bivy ledges, long splitter cracks and dihedrals. Everything you'd want if you do that stuff. The lass getting it done...
