If I could I would but for me; You forgot about the cost of a freezer large enough to hold the Steer, and a house with a garage large enough to hold the freezer. for now if I make room can fit about 20-30 lbs in the freezer if I cram it in! :(

I have 2 chest freezers, an upright freezer, in the basement, and the little one in the fridge.
There is about 300# of elk steaks and ground in New Mexico I can have, but how to get it here is the issue.....

I stopped buying beef all together due to the outrageous prices. If I want beef, I go to In-n-out burger.
Just got back from having a filet mignon and accoutrements at a very nice restaurant. Was it good? Oh yeah it was, even have some left over for breakfast, ( beats the hell out of the hotel bfast) . Was it worth it? As the company paid and had clients there, oh yes. If I had to pay, nope.

But I still buy beef, life is short and I like it.

How does a grown man have leftovers of a mignon filet?

Outback, hell yeah!

Hey, supporting local 4H and FFA kids is a good thing.
If you don't have room for all the meat, many butchers that you would use for processing have lockers, you rent space tos store your meat.
You can also split an animal with others, friends etc. This is very common with beef, typically yielding 800 or so pounds of meat.
A whole processed pig will pretty much fit in a 5 cubic foot freezer. That's like washing machine size, not full size.
A sheep or goat takes even less room than that.
Chicken, turkeys and rabbits take up much less room.
To be honest, you may not exactly save money compared to a local grocery store. But, you are helping out local kids and often get a decent tax deduction.
Yeah, my kid raised animals and we bought a few.

Despite spending my formative years in a very rural setting, I don't want to ever see my dinner in its previously living form. I prefer the cognitive disconnection that meat comes from a store or a restaurant.

However if ya'll want to invite me over for Elk roast or steaks, I'll be right there, with an ample supply of your favorite beverage!

Ugh. Spilled coffee onto my laptop this morning and it is fried. Cleaned it up, dried it out, took it apart and reassembled ... but it is done.

Sooo, new laptop incoming and the fun :gag: of setting up a new computer. I pulled the hard drive (no liquid near it) so I assume I can get data I need off of it with an adapter. We shall see.

I never drink my coffee without a lid ... except today. Unreal.

I think it's been over a decade since I owned a non-work issued laptop. Some day I'll get my own and I can edit photos and check out this whole porn thing people are always talking about. For now, I'm just too cheapie to get one.

Trouble comes in threes, my friend. Please be careful.

Ugh yup adapter.... Should work.... Assuming no encryption.. used them many times

You could try last ditch buy a couple pounds of rice

Bury laptop in it ... Let it sit overnight or two...It can pull out the last moisturize...

But if it actually fried ... Then no go...

New Laptop...hehehe Good Luck!

Good news is, I did not lose any data as the hard drive and SSD were fine. Hooked both to adapters and got all the files I needed.
Bad news ... ruined laptop and $1,500 for a new one. That was a very expensive cup of coffee.

That'd be an SSD-Works.

Exactly. I see no reason to own a slow laptop that I also use for work. I actually have a work issued laptop, but yeah, it just sits in a drawer because it sucks.

I buy gaming laptops ... even though I don't game on them. They are fully optimized for speed, and the faster I can get through my workdays the better. That said, still sort of advanced intermediate for a gaming laptop, same as the one I spilled coffee all over.

The now dead one actually survived a beer spill a couple of years ago. The speakers went all sorts of distorted sounding, but not horrible. Apparently, coffee is much worse than beer. Lesson learned. :cautious:

Random dude at Snow Valley asked me how I liked my eBike. Other than my first instinct to kill, I was like, "What?" Long story short, he confused the massive "on bike storage" bottom tube for an eBike. I explained, but come on man.

I actually have a tube stuffed into my on bike storage, so I am using it. :cautious: As much as I hate the fatness off it, I might eventually put most of the stuff I keep in my pack into it. Weight low better than weight up high. I done learned that is physics or some Sh!t.
