Love it. Could conceivably do it the same day, I think. I'm not sure how long it takes to get to Catalina and get certified, but one can ski/snowboard locally in the morning and do almost anything else in the afternoon OR do anything all day and go ski/snowboard that evening. Take advantage of it, y'all!
 
@Mikie and all youz ‘publicans: what’s with the consecutive “Yay California” rhetoric!?!? What about the immigrants and the taxes and the traffic and the immigrants? Can I get a rebuttal please? Or at least a hearty story of some OHV activity that tromps some stupid habitat for some stupid bug or pesky bird to get things back off track?

I will do this triathlon this season. Perhaps in February, March as the evenings get a little longer, depending of course on whether the ski areas are still open.

Best order for optimum conditions is surf-snow-mtb. That's also my preferred order for exertion. However, traffic conditions to get to and from the snow (if this is a weekend) play heavily into the formula. Either have to start the day there or end the day there. Can't do it in the middle.

I don't think talking about the cool things we can do in CA all in the same day is a political statement of any kind.

Knee swelling and pain level were down by half this AM, so I tested the knee on a sweet 4mi SOT hike...it’s snowing in my mountains and life is still rad! :inlove::cool:

Cuz I went snowboarding, with my rugrat. I think a frustrating cancellation of some work appointments, the kid having today off school, and medical admonitions on the wane, was the universe telling me to spend some quality time with my kiddo. Made a last minute call to do a quick overnight in Big Bear and get our long overdue first day on snow for the season. Just what the doctor ordered.
