I DIDN'T Ride My Bike Today, Cuzz....

Had a flat tire-on my van. Total pain in the ass to change. For some reason, I decided to use the jack and implements that came with the van... Bad mistake. I was putting on a show for the neighbors when I busted out the cheater bar and socket for the lug nuts. You know they're tight when they slowly, almost imperceptibly at first, then silently give before the freeing, cracking noise. That was followed by "ahhhhs" from the sidewalk voyeurs.
Took the tire in to be looked at, and they couldn't find a leak.
WTF?
Running too low pressure and burped the tire? Rider weight/7 + 2 doesn’t work for vans.

It happened over a 3 hour span. I parked the van, and came out to move it because the street sweeper was coming, and it was flat. Driver's side rear.
Could not have been under- inflated because I just got a compressor a week ago and anything that could be inflated, and was within 50ft of it, got inflated and pressure checked with a digital guage.
I need to get new tires anyway...

Finished up a little project in the front. Before picture is in the insert. Removed the hedge, chased the roots, patched the wall and wood. The wall behind that snaggled out hedge was an old color - baby diarrhea mustard - so I had to repaint the front section and the wood posts that project out. Decided a succulent patch might be low maintenance and be able to take the southern exposure.

Skypark will wait til tomorrow. New mailbox installed today, mounted the license plate to my dirtbike, ran some errands and stopped at the LBS. Planning a route in Sedona now that the wife and Daughter inlaw are joining us. They will be movie watching or something and the boy and I will ride. Shuttle adventure from Aerie TH to the Movie Theater, should be fun.

I was hesitant to try it after @mtnbikej feedback from last week. I tried the lowest spec carbon model. I think. It didn't have piggyback on the shock like the top two models.
But the frame said Si, and on the website I see they just go by number....

Dropper worked way better than the two speccies I rode, just felt great all around... Hopefully J just had a dud....

That Cannondale had no chance... It didn't say "Santa Cruz" on the side, and they tried to give him an e-moto first!

We checked out some new dirt, er, mud today on foot.

That roadcut mound on the other side of the freeway is the start of Dakota Ridge. It heads away from the POV so you can’t see it. We’re really on the same ridge, just north of the freeway roadcut.
