I DIDN'T Ride My Bike Today, Cuzz....

I haven't ridden my bike since Saturday morning. I won't get to ride tomorrow, either. Gotta actually wear a suit - I'm on an interview panel. Well, there's always Wednesday to redeem myself.

I didn't ride yesterday b/c it was a recovery day after riding Fri/Sat/Sun. I noticed today (I started my climb @ 5:36AM) that by the time I got to peak and wanted to descend, it was not even sunrise yet (still pre-dawn/dawn transition). Waiting for daylight savings to kick into effect on Nov 1.

Really? I'm the only poor sap who hasn't been able to ride all week???

Tomorrow morning I will be on my road bike and going to work. Tomorrow afternoon I will ride home.

Come hell or high water. Well, I'm in Anaheim...there is no high water

I haven't ridden either... been Mr. Mom while the wife has been away. I did get out twice with the little guy for some mellow stuff, but 3 mph bike path rides don't count for anything more than getting him hooked.

I'm a weekend rider. When I was training for VQ, I would try and get out during the week, but at significant wife cost. Now that VQ is done and gone for me due to the second delay, I need to build wife points back up and have resumed only riding on weekends.

I rode yesterday, but I could not drag my lazy carcass outta bed early enough to make the commute this morning. Riding home would have been fun today. Major tailwind.

No riding for me, unfortunately I've been watching the kids while we're in Vegas so my wife can help with her mother that just had a knee replacement. Having rode the trails out at blue diamond I was hoping to get a chance to break away and get few a laps in but it ain't gonna happen, it's really fun over there, will be home Saturday and I'll try to get a ride in Sunday

I'm happy that I have a somewhat boring job (I don't travel, don't entertain, don't venture into the Amazon for research, don't ponder about black holes and their efficiency) b/c I can basically ride every single day and I have a fire road trail in my neighborhood. As long as I'm not recovering from an injury/crash, which is fortunately seldom. But it's good to take a rest day and/or cross-train. I wish I could ride an epic for a few hours, never have that much time per session.

Cheering the kid at the horse show finals instead. She done good.

I like this because you don't get ribbons for showing up. Gotta earn 'em.

Brought everything to work today for a night ride after work ... looked forward to it all day ... just as I was getting ready to leave the office and head to the trail, the wife called ... she was stuck working late, and I had to head straight home to take care of the kids.

Saturday morning can't come soon enough!

Went surfing for the first time in several months this morning. Well, actually it was (dog) paddling since my left shoulder is still jacked. But I made it out and conditions were really good. Mild offshore, incoming tide, warm water, waist to chest+ waves, no crowd. Worked my way up and down the beach on the outside for a while before heading back into shore. Stoked to be out there, think consistent paddling will be good PT for the shoulder.

I was home today, and could have rode, but didn't work out. Bunch of little things sucked the time away.
But ended up going for a hike with the kids and for a fun activity, cleared goatheads from the trails!!!
Did this for about an hour:

We do know how to have fun!

And while out in the park we were treated to views of Mt. San Bernardino with a little early snow on it!

Not a bad afternoon at all.
