I'm sure there are exposed headers inside the van too...Dig those exposed headers!
(Sorry, I'll see myself out...)

Well, if it said "mountain bike hotties inside" on the side of the van, I'd steal it and lock myself inside (with the mountain bike hotties).I'm sure there are exposed headers inside the van too...

I'm going to be off the bike probably for the week. Let's just say that my experiment with a normal saddle has come to an end.
Saddle sores and numbnuts taint nothing to make jokes about!
Agree! There's no laughter involved with this one. At least from me. The wife, on the other hand, finds it quite amusing.
Back up in the driveway!
Careful, @DangerDirtyD might already be inside!Well, if it said "mountain bike hotties inside" on the side of the van, I'd steal it and lock myself inside (with the mountain bike hotties).
Tell her you need some massage therapy.
I wish I could be so lucky. I had to work really, really, REALLY hard to get dismissed.I didn't ride my bike today, because I fulfilled my civic duty and reported for jury duty. My sparkling personality was not what they were looking for, and I was dismissed in the first wave...
Gotta love Colorado! Snow today, golf tomorrow!I don't think it cracked 30° today, snow flurries, socked in. Tough to belly up to that nastiness with this outlook starting tomorrow:

I'll check out accumulations tomorrow.

Easy - Replace with Whitewater Kayaking! But surfing there kinda blows.
I did not ride my bike this weekend. Yes, I am going through withdrawals.
I’m a sick puppy.
Started feeling bad right in the middle of doing interviews on Friday. By the end I was sneezing and blowing my nose in front of the candidates. Class act.
Spent all day yesterday keyboarding on the next thing for imtbtrails...

I still have not ridden and I am Jones'n. But my rib is still killing me and my massive contusion on my leg is almost healed, the scab on my forearm is almost gone, and my antibiotics are up tonight. Yes I had a crash at night, I did not think it was that bad. But time is moderator. Tonights sunset was unbelievable, I should have been out on a west ridge.
I think I am ready, but I will wait until I am back from yet another road trip.
Happy on the lamb trails
This was a couple of weeks ago but In the theme of Veterans day, it was one of the things requiring my time and attention that kept me away from my bike but I feel fortunate for it.
I was privileged enough to accompany My 87 yr old Father on a once-in-a-lifetime event. He has lived in Amazing Life and is a veteran of Korea (92 combat flights) and Vietnam (106 combat Flights), flew strategic nuclear bombers, as well as surviving three crash Landings and single jet fighter aircraft. Sometimes It's hard for me to fathom how / why he is here.
As part of Honor Flight we took him and about 20 other WWII and Korean era vets to DC. Some of those 93 year old World War II vets were amazing. There were also a number of Korean Marines and Army infantry.
Many of us are at that age where our parents or grandparents are from those Generations. World War II vets are dying at more than 350 day and the Korean War often referred to as the Forgotten War. It was horrible... but It's is not forgotten by 50M free Koreans.
If you know of a Korean or WWII vets, please reach out and refer them to honor flight. There are chapters for most States.
Here are pics from the trip to give you an idea:

(The couple airport videos pretty much put it in perspective)

I'd call that a damn good reason to skip riding a bicycle for a weekend. This was a couple of weeks ago but In the theme of Veterans day, it was one of the things requiring my time and attention that kept me away from my bike but I feel fortunate for it.

Good to hear you are coming back around. The trails miss you!I'm on week 10 of post hernia repair recovery! The mental aspect of not doing anything (other than walking) for 10 weeks has been brutal. My surgeon is super conservative, but I figure for the price I am going to pay (haha, first bill was over $100k!!!, medical billing is insanity), I should listen to him. Light at the end of the tunnel: Wednesday appointment with the doc wherein I will, fingers crossed, be released to all activity. Probably ask him to throw some PT in since I've fully met my deductible and after the surgery will probably hit my out of pocket limit for the year.

Mitigate expectations and be patient! I'm sure you are doing both. The trails will be there awhile, no rush.I'm on week 10 of post hernia repair recovery!
