I DIDN'T Ride My Bike Today, Cuzz....

I haven't ridden my bike (much) in the last 4 1/2 years after selling my soul to SlaveX, I mean SpaceX. Luckily I landed a new job and plan on getting out there as soon as the ground starts to dry out. Going to be a good year to get back out on my bike.
Welcome to IMTB, dead man! Let's ride.

OK, I see you joined in 2013, so you are an OG. Thanks for coming back!

Hey Mike, welcome back from the dead (man's party)... What do you do for SlaveX? I may have options??? :sneaky:

I didn't ride my bike today. I would need snow skis and a toe line...
I rode my elliptical instead for an hour and 9 miles with 3 lb hand weights....o_O

Hey Mike! I have escaped SlaveX. I was running the vibe/shock area on second shift. I am now at Romeo Power working on EV batteries and other rechargeable battery solutions. It's a fairly new start up, but the future is more than bright! I know I've said it before, but yes, I will be riding again soon. Got the go ahead to ride after the first of the year from my Dr. Just had a minor surgery.

I didn't ride cause I was too festive and drank too much  it hurts.

Edit: on the bright side cleaning was done

...Cuz I took my daughter to Mt. High for a ski lesson. We get snowed out of our trip to Squaw, so we re-scheduled for February. In the meantime, I wanted Ruby to get some time on skis. Full day lesson. So I got on my skis - which I haven't done since New Years Day 2014. Six fun runs trying to remember how and to dodge the crowds on the one top-to-bottom run that was open. I remembered how quite quickly.

Then it was time to switch platforms. It's been 5 years since riding my snowboard - and I am a faaaaarrr better skier than snowboarder, so let's shake off the cobwebs and see if I can deal with it. Can I get off the chairlift without falling? Can I remember how to transition from toe side to heel side? The answer to both of those was a shaky yes. Quite fun actually.

Ski muscles are not bike muscles. Snowboard muscles are not ski muscles. It was good to wake those sleeping structures and put them to use. I am sure I will struggle to walk tomorrow. 10 runs (or so). 10,000 vertical! Snowboards and skis are fun!

Ruby did well, but the lesson wasn't appropriately challenging (too easy). Still - mission accomplished - some time on skis, and she had fun!
