My wife and I finally got the Covid virus. Rough night last night, positive tests this morning. I feel like crap, she seems to just have a cough.
It's kind of like other viruses now. Hits some people harder than others, but not nearly as deadly as it was. My battle with COVID involved a runny nose and slight cough for two days. I am vaxed and boosted. YMMV. Hoping the best for you and the missus.

That mild scenario is out the window. The Russians fed me a radioactive Bolognium sandwich slathered with brown mustard made from ground up brown acid they got ahold of after Woodstock.

I've been dosed on that stuff several times over the years. Always during fierce bouts of night sweats and delirium. My temp swings from over 100 to under 94 like a switch flips. Today my left hand was warm and my right hand felt like it had soaked in an ice bath. That can't be good. Not to mention, but I will anyway, my alimentary canal has shut down peristalsis to a near standstill. Calling in the Fleet to unload the big guns. Lovely.

What did I do to piss them off this time?

I have Tommy Castro in my mind.

"It serve me right to suffer..."

I didn't ride or get to play with the shockwiz yesterday. The spousal unit received notification that her new fangled embroidery machine is being delivered tomorrow. I have to clear out the shop, remove the carpet, and install the tile flooring, finish the drywall mud and paint the walls.
I can work on the windows and doors after the machine is in place.
Based on the weather reports, 3 days for walls and 5 days for flooring.
She has to take a class online on how to operate it to get the warranty so that gives me a few days.

Okay, I think I have a good excuse today. I was boiling up some pasta for dinner last night and thought I was fine to keep pouring the hot water as it was running down my hand.
Both of my parents are chefs, I've always explained to my wife that I have "Chef's hands," and can touch hot surfaces. But, this is just, beyond that. I called Kaiser and they were no help at all. Gave me a phone appointment for tomorrow.

Yeah, that's gonna hurt. Avoid butter and ice.

Yeah, the pain was pretty unbelievable last night. Seems like the worst is over now. Just looks cartoonish.
I had to cancel a meeting this morning because I drive a stick and didn't think I could steer and shift.

.... and Jack Daniels...
Might not be a bad idea.

Clean it with soap/water, pop it, clean it again, and rub original paste Colgate on it.
