I DIDN'T Ride My Bike Today, Cuzz....

No ride(ing) for me cause I'm trying to behave and listen to some Kaiser doc's that don't ride MTB's and are supposedly smarter than me. Yes I'm grumpy and don't GAF and not gonna edit this post. I'm on some stuupid low iodine diet that tastes worse than cardboard for another week+ before they make me glow in the dark. On the bright side the doc told me I can drink all the beer I want cuzz it doesn't contain iodine.

If they don't ride mountain bikes, they cannot be smarter than you. Fact.

Hope you get some good news after this... Then come ride rocks with me. We can shuttle and keep the heart low. I have beer in the fridge. We can ride right to it.

The heart is plenty low, it hit 37 bpm today. Problem is it hit 201 last week and I wasn't even riding. I'm taking you up on the rocks and beer part soon but not the shuttle just yet.

Most likely they have no clue what's wrong.:whistling::confused: But listen to them anyway.

No ride yesterday.

Gotta love it when you go to smog your truck for registration..:.only to find out that the DMV out a hold on your vehicle due to a recall that doesn’t even effect the emissions. Yes it passed smog. But apparently the DMV doesn’t have record that the dealer sent the recall certificate over.

Sink spent the afternoon at the dealer getting an additional recall handled, as well as a hard copy of the recall certificate.

And no..::DMV never even notified me Of the block.

I didn'ride my bike because of yard work. Getting ready for my shop to be built.
Annnnnnd I thought I counted 12 stairs, but I was on the 11th......face planted the deck. Ankles and wrists are sore. Hopefully I can ride tomorrow before it heats up.

Oh crap. I hope your injuries are very, very temporary.

I did yard work today too. But mine involved a rake, a broom, a large dust pan and some Hefty bags. Not a backhoe and grader.

Cuz water polo for my daughter. 3 games today. She is very passive and cautious by nature, so this may not be a great sport for her. But she’s tall, loves the water and we live in Laguna, so have to give it a try. She was coached by the legendary LBHS coach today. 4 CIF Division 1 girls championships in the last six years. Kind of a big deal for me. She just said “cool.”

Oh and they won 2 of their 3.

It's been years since I've helped anyone move. But, my friend/neighbor didn't realize how much heavy stuff they had to move, so we got up early to rent a van and haul most of the furniture to their new place.
When we pulled up there was a decent-sized coyote that popped out of their side yard and ended up laying down on the neighbor's lawn. I tried to spook it off and it wouldn't really get up.
I called the human society and they said to call back in several hours if it still hadn't moved. It was still napping when I left two hours later. I watched two separate people with tiny dogs walk by it.

It hasn't missed a meal. Looks healthy.
They get shot up here.

It’s got a big gut like me. I call mine a “covid-gut”. Depression caused by the pandemic.
Having my "office" 8 ft from the refrigerator does not help in any way!

But the hour I save driving everyday, and the other hour or so getting ready making lunch and eating breakfast has been magic! That's another 10 hours a week of found time over the last year!

They're like ants around here. Ring camera captures them in the driveway just about every night… I saw two this morning pedaling to JPL.

Still without a hitch, and not wanting to put the bike in the back of the new car, I did something different. Hiked Silverado Motorway instead. Enjoyable few hours, but I forgot just how hard on the legs it is to come back down on foot when it's steep. For 3 miles. I'll be feeling it later tonight, and tomorrow. :whistling: I just know it. It's definitely a different perspective on foot.:thumbsup:

People are stupid. I think this has been mentioned on the forum before, but a truck on Motorway? He got down to the electrical towers. Paid for it, it appears. I understand the impulses, but people probably shouldn't have done this to the truck. The owner was already hosed.

I'd bet a pot full of gold that these stranded vehicles you guys are finding up there are mostly stolen and taken for a joy ride, then abandoned once they get stuck.

The guard rail at the start of the Motorway didn't stop the bozo in the truck?

That looks to be a Harley Edition F150 , how in hell did they get it in there? There is a newer RAV4 stuck in a canyon where I ride, that is now just destroyed. I think someone stole it and parked it there. This happens a lot where I ride. We even have boats.
