Oh, for goodness sake, wash that filthy thing!I was going to report that the Bell Trail is in good shape... Then it rained. I now know I need a front fender.
The good news is that I could hear the equipment working on Star Rise, so it should be open soon...

My sister, who lives in Ladera, says the water crossings are a lot deeper than normal. Bringing some chain lube in your pack might be a good idea.

What do you do with your bike during sign-in? (I cannot drive down there the night before to pre-sign-in).

You park at the venue.....there is a ton of parking.
You leave your bike on your car/truck....or you pedal it over to registration.

Is it a cluster-f#%k having a bunch of bikes laying around for those in line to sign in?
How far away is parking from the the registration booth?
Are there bike thieves waiting to grab an unattended bike on a bike rack?

Plenty of places to leave your bike near the registration area, a bike thief would have to have a lot of balls to steal bikes from the venue. Then again...

I'll try and ride it this week, so you guys have an idea... Maybe take the GoPro along. I predict wet feet and crunchy drive trains!
I see that OC Parks opened Star Rise yesterday, so I'll be able to check that out, as well.

Caspers Loop got a little shorter... According to the OC Parks page, those trails are all open on that end of the park. Now, I want to go see what they're having us avoid!
