Wildlife encounters

This guy wasn’t bothered much by us riding close by. Was acting strange as most in our neck of the desert just high tail it when they see you. Then we noticed that it kept squatting to relieve its self. Obviously sick. As we rode along it jogged just ahead. Then we noticed another one that was following the first.
Nature ride. We wouldn’t have seen it if we were riding our couches.View attachment 80705

The ones in the creek bottom in Fullerton just laugh at you and keep on doing their thing. Best-fed coyotes on the planet with all the pets in the area.

My backyard Ring camera is proving to be a great purchase. Last week I got a grey fox, and last night a bobcat. Pretty decent for only 2 weeks of usage.

Follow Jerry Springer on Facebook... He can probably tell you which one it is based on the size and gait. If you're ever riding in the arroyo and come across an older gentleman who looks like he's dressed for the back country (bush hat, walking stick, cameras, boots...), stop and say hello. His videos and stills are amazing.

Critter ID time. Bobcat or juvenile mountain lion? We have a bobcat that comes through regularly, and this thing is bobcat size and was following the same path. But as it walked out of frame the tail came up, and made me think mountain lion. I couldn't get anything better than a grainy zoom of the tail. What say ye?
