Who's Riding Where???

Whiting in about an hour with a gajillion others sweating in the 90° heat.

Why? I get to ride, so I GOTTA ride! And I have to stick to mellow terrain for the moment.
The Luge is right across the street. The Luge is right across the street. The Luge, The Luge ....

I am actually tempted to join you just so I can talk you into The Luge. I'm going to Oaks though. With a gajillion others. So lucky you.

Luge is riding fast and smooth right now though.

Ran into @herzalot on Portola as I was about to head up the water tank climb. So joined him for his inaugural ride and went through Boreggo, enjoyed the sand pit from hell ( I walked some, he rode it all ), and mustard still sucked. But the ride was good and company was excellent. Good seeing you out there Herz!

Thanks for joining me @Danimal and slowing your pace to let me tag along. The universe does funny things sometimes! 5 seconds different for either of us and we would have been riding solo.

Friday it's on....

Herz, are you officially retired?
Oh hell no. But we have a 4-day weekend. Yay!

I will "graduate" when my daughter does in 2028, if I make it that far. She will need to earn a full-ride scholarship somewhere so I don't have to pay for college. That's why she is focusing on her bowling skills - the new upcoming "it" sport for college athletes and future Olympians! She LOVES the shirts!

Awesome. In that case, you gotta ride!

I, myself, will be working through the weekend by plan. I am taking most of next week off to take the wifey up to Big Bear for an anniversary getaway. With most kids now back in school, it should be quieting down nicely up there after the Labor Day weekend madness clears out. Quiet and peaceful is what we seek.

I have re-thought the wisdom of riding this morning, since I have only been able to stand and walk without pain for a day and a half. I think I will see if I can make it an entire 2nd day without being stopped in my tracks after 5 steps.

For those not following my saga, I torqued my back badly while doing PT for my recently replaced hip. 2+ weeks of not being able to stand up straight or walk without significant pain.

Good call.
I have one of those electric carts you see in the markets you can borrow.

IIWY, when you feel up to it, I'd do some gentle spinning on neighborhood roads or down at your local beach strand. Take it a little easier on your self, when you're ready.

If you end up joining the Bomb Squad, I’ll still make fun of you but only a little bit. The rest of the time, if you catch me smiling at you, it means I finally can ride Laguna with a little more pace than you can.

Despite the condition of my condition, I have put down some epic neighborhood spins over the past two weekends. 2.6 mi and 427' and then 3.2 mi and 519'!!!!

PS - Laguna doesn't have beach strands to ride.
