Who's Riding Where???

@mtnbikej I have today off says Oaks is Open...
What do you think ... Mudfest or OK?

I might enter through actual park front, saw pictures of the lowland trails between Irvine Park and Chutes Climn looked like a river!

But perhaps the high one... Road Runner... Well probably gonna ride out there...

Not Up For / Time for MS - MWY.

They are releasing water over by the bottom of Goat, so you have to go up Chutes. Otherwise you have to enter through the SO main entrance.

Don't know about the mud....haven't been there in about 9 months.

Heck yeah they're releasing water...

I went in through Irvine Park and roadrunner and stayed up high. It was fine.

It was a short ride for other reasons but the chutes and cattle, canyon and bumblebee or whatever all fine little bit mud very bottom.

I just had an hour or two.

And something that'll never happen to me again ... my full ride, I saw one mountain bike and two hikers.

Weather was beautiful!!

I am registered for the new Saddleback Wilderness open space tomorrow morning. It does not look very expansive, so I will probably eat lunch and ride Oaks or Blackstar afterwards ... unless the trails are really fun and I want to ride them multiple times. Moderate & easy ratings make me think not, but I want to give it a try at least once.

Hard to tell, but from the map looks like the entrance to the closed landfill...and near where the old motorcycle enduro park was way back when.

What's the latest on Brown, Fern and El Prieto fellas? Might want to over that way with a buddy on Tues. AM.
Too much flowing water, wetness, and destruction, although I think I heard that some trail work is about to be done or was just done on El P. The San Gabes will be draining out for at least weeks to come yet. Sunset is roughed up too but at least it's mostly dry.

Thanks, have to find another plan.

I'm still on reserve duty, so Brown to Fern to the Brown Memorial Trail was my big ride the other day. Going up Brown and down Fern is fine. There is a little water after the hard right on the Fern DH, but it's not bad. I did not go down El Prieto, but I ran into a guy who climbed it. He said it was fun, and he was able to clean all of the water crossings. I believe there will be 5 or 6 new ones since you and I rode it together. It is also significantly rougher than then...

MWBA has done work a couple times since @SnakeCharmer went down it... But I'm sure there's a ton more to be done.

Albert did this happen?
We are waiting anxiously for a nice and lengthy ride report on your adventure up the Gabs.
You gotta give us some:geek:
Yes it did happen Sunday morning, I didn't take any pics forgot my phone at home that morning. All I had was my Garmin, had my handlebars come loose climbing through the backside of Strawberry didn't have my torx bit and didn't make it to saddle. I turned around and on Mt Lowe found some bikers whom helped out, so at least I can decend Sunset and Horsey trail 30mi. 5000ft+ of a beautiful day!
