The Weather Thread

I took the dogs to Silverado this morning. I was there at 6:15 and got the second to last legal spot. 37°.
I wore high water proof boots and my feet were still soaked after the first crossing, but it wasn’t that bad.
Pretty quiet on the hike up, amateur hour coming back down. A lot of people who were not dressed for the conditions. Several people on foot or bikes with skis.
We just did the asphalt. Overall a nice hike.

Ever get dog hair inside your vehicle?
.
In the car, in my shoes, at work, in the house, in my underwear....
The Aussie doesn’t have the double coat, so he’s not too bad. The husky is 10 times what my first Aussie shed. ’My husky only sheds once a year, for 365 days...’
I get moving blankets from Harbor Freight and drape the back of the car. It mostly sticks to them, as long as I keep the windows up. They get replaced every once in a while

Yep, read the same article.

Actually it was not hard though it was soft like softer than snow cone It remind me of popcorn snow if you've ever been in that, perhaps that's the same.

Nonetheless it was awesome. I'm such a sucker for that kind of stuff.. was on a meeting and told him I had to go now and ran out in the middle of it!!! :)

Probably a good idea to stick to the lowlands this weekend..

https://www.latimes.com/environment...casters-warn-of-approaching-atmospheric-river

"We’re going to see rain on top of snow, and for elevations of say 2,000 feet to about 4,000 feet, a lot of that snow is going to melt,” said Carlos Molina, a meteorologist with the National Weather Service in Hanford, Calif. “We’re going to basically lose a lot of the snow that fell from the previous storms. We’re looking at potential for flooding.”"

"Indeed, the highest likelihood of flood-related impacts are in lower-elevation areas with unusually deep snowpack, Swain said. Small rivers and streams in those areas will see significant potential for runoff issues, as will some urban areas — particularly in places where storm drains are already clogged by snow."
